Tigers 1B prospect Dean Green collected five RBI Tuesday in a win for Double-A Erie.
Green continued his power surge with a home run and two singles in Erie’s 9-5 win over Akron. The 26-year-old has really found his stroke this month. He’s hit .423 with three homers and 12 RBI during his seven-game hitting streak. Green was hitting .266 when the streak began and is now all the way up to .282. The former 11th-round pick leads all minor league hitters with 65 RBI this season. He also ranks third in the Eastern League with 14 round-trippers.
