Norris will presumably stick around with Cleveland for the final month of the season to see if he makes it onto the club’s postseason roster. The 30-year-old left-hander has been jettisoned from the Guardians’ 40-man roster on three occasions since mid-June while only making seven relief appearances in the big leagues this season.

Norris’ latest stint in Cleveland lasted just a few days as he’s likely to wind up going unclaimed on waivers and heading back out to test the free agent waters.

He’ll take the roster spot vacated by Noah Syndergaard after the right-hander was designated for assignment on Sunday. Norris has posted a 3.38 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and a 10/11 K/BB ratio over 10 2/3 innings with the Guardians this season.

Norris reunites with Cleveland just a few days after electing free agency following his removal from the club’s 40-man roster. The 30-year-old southpaw made six relief appearances for the Guardians and figures to be back in the big leagues at some point before the 2023 campaign wraps up.

The left-hander was designated for assignment earlier in the week and passed through waivers unclaimed — but instead of accepting an outright assignment to Triple-A Columbus, he’ll explore the open market. Norris did a decent job during his time with the Guardians, posting a 3.38 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and a 10/11 K/BB ratio over 10 2/3 innings.

The 30-year-old southpaw had been outrighted off of the club’s 40-man roster in late July, but he’ll return to provide depth and length in the team’s bullpen. Tim Herrin was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move on Monday.

Norris went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week and will presumably stick around as extra left-handed relief depth. The 30-year-old lefty made just one relief appearance for the Guardians.

Norris made just one appearance for the Guardians, pitching two scoreless innings even though he walked three batters. He had a 6.93 ERA in Triple-A before being called up, so there’s a good chance that he’ll clear waivers.

The 30-year-old southpaw has really struggled at Triple-A Columbus this season -- registering a 6.93 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and a 32/24 K/BB ratio across 37 2/3 innings. He’ll add depth and length to the Guardians’ bullpen.
