The Red Sox reassigned INF/OF Joe Dunand, OF Corey Rosier and INF Chase Meidroth to minor league camp.
Dunand will continue to develop in the minor league system to start the 2024 season. Last season, he splayed 95 games at Triple-A Gwinnett in the Braves’ organization and the 28-year-old slashed .268/.362/.481 with 52 RBI in 403 plate appearances. He’ll serve as infielder depth for Boston this upcoming season.
  • BOS Outfield
Red Sox OF prospect Corey Rosier went 3-for-5 with a run, an RBI, and two steals in Arizona Fall League action.
Rosier now has five steals in 11 fall league games while slashing .356/.396/.444 with six RBI. He swiped 49 bases on 57 attempts over 116 games in 2023 and another 40 in 45 attempts the year prior, so the speed is for sure. However, he is probably nothing more than a fourth outfielder for an MLB team in the future.
  • BOS Outfield
Red Sox OF prospect Corey Rosier went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in Arizona Fall League action.
Rosier hit .285/.351/.431 in 116 games across Double-A and Triple-A for Boston this year while stealing 49 bases. The 2021 12th-round pick was traded to Boston with Eric Hosmer at the 2022 deadline and could emerge as a speed-first fourth outfielder in the near future.
  • Outfield
Red Sox acquired OF Corey Rosier, 1B Eric Hosmer, INF Max Ferguson and cash considerations from the Padres for LHP Jay Groome.
Rosier has put up solid numbers this season at High-A Fort Wayne, slashing .263/.381/.396 with six homers and 33 stolen bases across 373 plate appearances. The 22-year-old speedy outfielder, who was acquired in a trade with the Mariners last offseason, is a decent lottery ticket for the Red Sox.

  • Outfield
Padres acquired OF Corey Rosier and LHP Ray Kerr from the Mariners for INF/OF Adam Frazier.
Rosier, a 12th-round selection of the Mariners last June, wound up hitting .390/.461/.585 with three homers and 13 stolen bases across 141 plate appearances at Low-A Modesto last summer. The 22-year-old outfielder is an intriguing long-term lottery ticket and could move quickly through the Padres’ minor-league system over the next few seasons.

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Mariners are acquiring INF/OF Adam Frazier from the Padres for left-hander Ray Kerr and outfielder Corey Rosier.
The stove is heating up, folks. Frazier, who was acquired from the rebuilding Pirates at the trade deadline last July, will provide the Mariners with a versatile short-term answer at the keystone before hitting free agency next offseason. He also possesses the ability to fill-in at multiple spots defensively. The 29-year-old hit .305/.368/.411 with five home runs and 10 steals across 639 plate appearances between the Padres and Pirates last year.
