    Mets released RHP Connor Overton.
The 31-year-old right-hander had inked a minor league deal with the Mets in mid-February. It’s unclear if he has another opportunity already lined up, or if he just wanted to ability to explore the open market. Overton has had some success at the game’s highest level, so he shouldn’t have any trouble finding another team willing to give him a chance.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #71
Mets signed RHP Connor Overton to a minor league contract.
Overton didn’t pitch in the big leagues last year after posting a respectable 4.85 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 38/23 K/BB ratio across 59 1/3 innings (18 appearances, 10 starts) from 2021-2023 between the Reds, Pirates and Blue Jays. The 31-year-old righty has some starting experience and has also pitched in relief, so he brings some added versatility to the Mets’ organizational depth at Triple-A Syracuse.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #71
Reds re-signed RHP Connor Overton to a minor league contract.
It’s presumably a two-year deal as Overton was bounced from Cincinnati’s 40-man roster last month, just a few months after undergoing Tommy John surgery. The 30-year-old righty will likely be sidelined for a majority of the 2024 campaign, but he’ll be able to continue his rehabilitation as part of the Reds’ organization.

Reds sent RHP Connor Overton outright to Triple-A Louisville.
Overton was one of five right-handers removed from the Reds’ 40-man roster on Monday. The 30-year-old hurler underwent Tommy John surgery at the end of May and isn’t expected to be ready to return until around the All-Star break at the earliest.

Connor Overton (elbow) required season-ending Tommy John surgery.
Overton landed on the injured list in mid-April with an elbow strain and it turns out that he had some ligament damage which needed surgical repair. He’s likely to be in rehab mode through the early part of next season.

Connor Overton will undergo right elbow surgery.
No word yet on how long Overton will be sidelined, but it sounds like it could be a potentially season-ending procedure. He’s been out since mid-April due to a right elbow strain. There should be an official timeline following the procedure.

Reds transferred RHP Connor Overton from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list
The procedural move created a spot on the Reds’ 40-man roster to add reliever Silvino Blacho to the bullpen. Overton is expected to be out until at least mid-July with a right elbow strain.

  • FA Relief Pitcher #64
Reds manager David Bell said Sunday that Connor Overton (elbow) won’t return until mid-July at the earliest.
Overton has resumed playing catch, but hasn’t begun throwing off a mound yet, and is facing a lengthy rehabilitation process. The 29-year-old righty landed on the injured list back in mid-April with a right elbow strain.

Reds placed RHP Connor Overton on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow strain.
Overton’s spot in the Reds’ starting rotation figures to be taken over by Luke Weaver, who is just about ready to return after tossing five innings on Friday for Triple-A Louisville in his latest rehab start. The 29-year-old right-hander’s next turn comes on Wednesday against the Rays.

Connor Overton gave up five runs and went without a strikeout over three innings in his start against the Phillies on Friday.
Even Luke Weaver figures to do better than this. Overton has an 11.45 ERA in three starts, which is actually better than his 15.43 ERA from spring training. Weaver will probably take Overton’s rotation spot either next time through or the time after.
