Indians acquired RHP Connor Graham from the Rockies for RHP Rafael Betancourt.
Graham, 24, is an Ohio kid coming home. The 6-foot-7, 235 pound right-hander was a fifth-round pick in the 2007 draft out of Miami of Ohio. He went 7-4 with a 3.14 ERA and 87/41 K/BB rate in 80 1/3 innings over 16 starts with Class-A Modesto. Prior to this season, Baseball America ranked Graham the 12th-best prospect in the Rockies’ organization.

2007 fifth-round pick Connor Graham struck out nine in 7 2/3 scoreless innings for low Single-A Asheville on Friday.
Graham is 4-2 with a 2.25 ERA and a 32/14 K/BB ratio in 32 innings. He’s a better bet to make it as a reliever than as a starter, but with his fastball-slider combination, he’s an intriguing prospect.

Conor Graham fanned eight in four hitless innings Tuesday for Honolulu of the HWL.
That merely lowered his ERA to 6.62. Graham has a 24/20 K/BB ratio in 17 2/3 innings. The 2007 fifth-round pick was also wild in the minors last season, but he finished 12-6 with a 2.26 ERA for low Single-A Asheville anyway. He’ll likely never have outstanding command, but he could be a very good reliever for the Rockies someday.
