  • SEA Relief Pitcher #52
Mariners recalled RHP Collin Snider from Triple-A Tacoma.
Snider joins Seattle’s bullpen mix ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Rays with starter Bryan Woo hitting the injured list with a hamstring strain. The 28-year-old righty is back for a third stint this season with the Mariners and figures to be up-and-down over the next few months.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #52
Mariners optioned RHP Collin Snider to Triple-A Tacoma.
Snider is heading back to Triple-A despite pitching well since being promoted from Tacoma; not allowing a run in any of his appearances. He’s sent down with Matt Bowman getting added to the active roster.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #52
Mariners recalled RHP Collin Snider from Triple-A Tacoma.
The 28-year-old right-hander will get a chance to work out of the M’s bullpen with Gabe Speier (shoulder) landing on the injured list. Snider has made three appearances at the big league level this season, registering a 6.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 2/1 K/BB ratio across his three frames. Expect him to be utilized in a middle relief role.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #52
Mariners activated RHP Collin Snider from the 15-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Tacoma.
Snider will remain stationed at Triple-A Tacoma after hitting the shelf back in early April with a left knee contusion.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #52
Mariners placed RHP Collin Snider on the 15-day injured list with a left knee contusion.
Snider was hit in the knee on a line drive during a relief appearance Sunday and was unable to continue. Assuming it’s just a bruise he’ll have a chance to return to the bullpen for Seattle at the end of April.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #52
Collin Snider left Sunday’s relief appearance against the Brewers with a lower-body injury.
Snider was hit right around the knee with a line drive, and while the right-hander attempted to stay in the game while throwing some warmup pitches, it was clear he was in too much pain to continue. For now, Snider should be considered day-to-day, but a trip to the injured list seems very possible. Taylor Saucedo has come in to pitch in Snider’s absence.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #40
Mariners claimed RHP Collin Snider off waivers from the Diamondbacks.
Snider spent his entire career in the Royals system until the Diamondbacks claimed him last month, and he had a 5.93 ERA and a 33/23 K/BB in 54 2/3 innings in the majors the last two seasons. It’s unlikely that he’ll win a spot in Seattle’s bullpen.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #40
Diamondbacks designated RHP Collin Snider for assignment.
Snider was claimed off waivers from the Royals in December. The 28-year-old reliever had a 5.93 ERA and an ugly 33/28 K/BB ratio in 54 2/3 innings for Kansas City the last two seasons.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #40
Diamondbacks claimed RHP Collin Snider off waivers from the Royals.
Snider was designated by assignment last week to make room for newly signed reliever Will Smith. The 28-year-old reliever had a 4.87 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 11/13 K/BB ratio over 20 1/3 innings for the Royals in 2023. He has a career 5.93 MLB ERA in 54 2/3 innings, but has a high-90s fastball that averaged 95.9 mph, so some team was bound to take a chance on him. Arizona will hope that they can get the most out of him and make him a useful asset in the bullpen.
  • KC Relief Pitcher #51
Royals signed LHP Will Smith to a one-year contract.
The deal was reported yesterday by Jeff Passan as a one-year, $5 million contract and is now official with the Royals designating Collin Snider for assignment to clear space on the 40-man roster. Smith started the year strong in 2023, pitching to a 3.06 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, and 35/8 K/BB ratio in 32 1/3 innings in the first half of the season. He also earned the closer’s job in Texas during that time and registered 14 saves prior to July 1st. However, in 25 second-half innings, Smith had a 6.12 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 20/9 K/BB ratio and was a non-factor in the Rangers’ postseason run, pitching just 3 1/3 innings with a 10.80 ERA. The Royals will hope that the 34-year-old can recapture some of that early season magic and will likely give him a chance to earn save opportunities as well.
