Cody Bradford allowed one run with four strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Athletics on Wednesday.
Bradford allowed two runners on with no outs in the first inning before escaping with three straight strikeouts. A triple and a base hit brought a run in to score for the A’s in the second. Bradford escaped a bases loaded jam in the third, then loaded the bases once again in the fourth before he was replaced with two outs at an inefficient 90 pitches. The 26-year-old left-hander ends the regular season with a 3.54 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and a 70/13 K/BB ratio across 76 1/3 innings.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #61

Bradford bounced back in a big way after giving up eight runs in his previous start, holding the Blue Jays scoreless over seven shutout frames. He scattered five hits and did not walk a batter while striking out six. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 3.59 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and a 66/10 K/BB ratio into a start against the Athletics in Oakland on Tuesday.

Cody Bradford allowed one run in six innings and got the win in the Rangers’ 3-1 victory over the Angels on Thursday.
Bradford gave up two hits, walked two and struck out four. The win was his fifth of the year. Bradford has completed at least five innings and allowed no more than three runs in six straight starts. He has a 2.43 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 37 innings in that time. Bradford should be rostered in all formats at this point. The 26-year-old left-hander is set to face the Diamondbacks on the road next week.
  • TEX Relief Pitcher #61
Cody Bradford allowed two runs on four hits over seven innings while striking out eight and walking none in a no-decision against the A’s.
The left-hander induced 14 whiffs on 50 swings for a 28 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW. Bradford has now allowed 12 earned runs in 34 2/3 innings (3.16 ERA) in August while striking out 33 and walking just five. While part of that can be attributed to a weak schedule, that will also continue since he gets the Angels next week. He should be added in all formats.

Cody Bradford struck out three, walked two, and allowed one earned run across six innings on Sunday against the Guardians.
Good on Bradford for still grinding his way to a quality start despite not having his best stuff. His velocity was down between one and two MPH across the board and he forced just one single swing-and-miss against a lefty batter the whole game. Yet, he gave his team a chance to win the game and lowered his ERA down to 3.31. He has a very favorable upcoming schedule that starts with the Athletics next week.

Cody Bradford allowed three earned runs over seven innings while striking out eight in Tuesday’s loss to the Pirates.
Bradford kicked off his night with three straight perfect frames but ran into trouble in the fourth inning. After allowing a lead-off single to Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Bradford would retire the next two batters he faced before a double by Connor Joe suddenly moved two runners into scoring position. Bryan De La Cruz would then single to drive home Kiner-Falefa and Joe to give the Pirates a 2-0 lead, only to see Oneil Cruz follow that with an RBI triple to push the lead to 3-0. Bradford wouldn’t give up another run for the rest of the night, but the damage had already been done. Pirates starter Mitch Keller stifled the Rangers for seven scoreless frames to saddle Bradford with his first loss of the season. He’ll look to bounce back in his next start, scheduled for Tuesday against the White Sox.

Cody Bradford pitched six innings of two-run ball Thursday against the Twins.
The Rangers intended to use Bradford as a reliever after he came off the IL at the end of last month, but with Jon Gray and Max Scherzer going down, he went right back into the rotation, and he’s making a strong case to stay there. He’s a decent play next week with a home start against the Pirates coming up.

Bradford piled up seven strikeouts on the afternoon and didn’t walk a batter. The lone tally against him came on an RBI single by Gleyber Torres in the second inning. After that, Bradford completely took over. He got 11 whiffs on 92 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 30 percent. Now 4-0 on the season, he’ll bring a 3.60 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and a 31/4 K/BB ratio (30 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the Twins.
