    Roller got into one game earlier this season for Milwaukee and finds himself off the club’s 40-man roster to make room for veteran reliever Rob Zastryzny in advance of Saturday’s game against the Cubs. The 27-year-old outfielder has batted just .198 with two homers and six steals in 43 games this season in the minors.

    Brewers recalled OF Chris Roller from Triple-A Nashville.
    Roller, 27, will be making his major league debut. The Brewers got him from Cleveland last August and added him to the 40-man roster after the season. This year, he got hurt in April and had played in just five games since returning. Overall, he was hitting .250/.276/.357 with a 21/2 K/BB ratio in 14 games. The Brewers figure to use him primarily against lefties.

    Brewers optioned C Jeferson Quero and OF Chris Roller to Triple-A Nashville, optioned RHP Bradley Blalock to Double-A Biloxi, and reassigned 1B Wes Clarke, RHP Sam Carlson, RHP Evan McKendry, RHP Tobias Myers, and RHP Carlos Rodriguez to minor league camp.
    Quero is one of the Brewers’ top prospects. In 2023, he hit .262/.339/.441 with 16 homers and five stolen bases across 381 plate appearances with Double-A Biloxi. He is considered one of the better catching prospects in the minor leagues and could up making his major league debut sometime during the 2024 season.

    Brewers selected the contract of OF Chris Roller from Triple-A Nashville.
    It’s the first time in the 27-year-old’s career that he has made it to the 40-man roster. That will keep him in the organization for the time being, as Roller could have elected free agency after the World Series. He spent the entire 2023 campaign at Triple-A where he slashed .247/.394/.449 with 15 homers, 67 RBI, 19 stolen bases and a 109/68 K/BB ratio over 396 plate appearances.
