Amador blossomed last year into one of the top prospects in the entire fantasy landscape from a dynasty standpoint as his contact skills put him on the potential fast track to the majors as he enters his age-21 season. Fernandez, Veen and Thompson also have a great deal of fantasy potential, if they ascend to the big leagues in Colorado down the line.

Adams was a highly-regarded pitching prospect for the Yankees last decade, but never wound up excelling in the majors, struggling to a bloated 8.42 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and 33/15 K/BB ratio across 41 2/3 innings (22 appearances, one start) from 2018-2020 between the Yankees and Royals. The 29-year-old righty pitched well at Triple-A Albuquerque this past season and will presumably compete next spring for a spot in Colorado’s season-opening bullpen.

Adams was a notable pitching prospect last decade with the Yankees before struggling at the major league level and eventually being traded to the Royals prior to the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. The 28-year-old righty hasn’t pitched professionally since the 2021 season and will get another shot with the Rockies. He’s at least an interesting gamble.

The 26-year-old right-hander passed through waivers unclaimed and will continue to function as organizational pitching depth for the Royals. Adams appeared in six games for the Royals during the 2020 season, posting an underwhelming 9.35 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 6/0 K/BB ratio across 8 2/3 innings.

He’ll replace the injured Ian Kennedy (calf) on the active roster. Adams allowed three runs in 1 2/3 innings in his lone appearance with the Royals this season.

Adams was roughed up in his lone appearance during his brief time with the big club. He’s clearing out to make room for Jakob Junis’ return.

Adams was up with the Royals briefly earlier this month but didn’t make an appearance. He’ll provide the bullpen with some length.

Adams did not make an appearance during his short stay on the Royals’ active 28-man roster. The 25-year-old reliever holds an ugly 8.18 ERA in 33 career innings at the major league level.

Adams was just activated from the 10-day injured list and sent out on Friday, but an injury to outfielder Nick Heath in Friday night’s game opened a roster spot and prompted the team to tell Adams to come on back. How long he might stay is up in the air -- the team used five pitchers to get through their 3-2 win over the Twins, and may just want to have a healthy arm around for Saturday’s game -- but it’s not as though the Royals’ bullpen is so airtight that he couldn’t pitch his way into a regular role if he performs well. Heath went on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Adams is over the undisclosed ailment he was dealing with but will not join the big club yet. He should get a shot eventually.
