Brewers outrighted RHP Chad Sobotka to Triple-A Nashville.
The move was necessary in order to open a spot on the 40-man roster for Ryan Weber.

Brewers acquired RHPs Chad Sobotka and Patrick Weigel from the Braves for INF Orlando Arcia.
After some initial success in the majors in 2018, Sobotka holds a brutal 6.89 ERA over his last 36 relief appearances. Walks and home runs have played a part in that, but he definitely has a good arm. He’s mostly bullpen depth while Weigel is the real get in the deal.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Braves have acquired infielder Orlando Arcia from the Brewers.
Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports that relievers Patrick Weigel and Chad Sobotka will head back to Milwaukee. There was some speculation that the Padres could be a fit with the Fernando Tatis Jr. (shoulder) situation, but apparently the Braves view him as an upgrade as a utility infielder. Arcia has never been a league-average hitter, but he at least showed signs of improvement last season with five homers and a .260/.317/.416 batting line over 189 plate appearances. He played some third base in the spring and should see action all over the Braves’ infield.

Braves optioned RHP Chad Sobotka to their alternate training site.
The move comes a day after Sobotka was torched for five runs while retiring just two batters against the Nationals. Bryse Wilson will take his spot in the bullpen.

Sobotka was sent out in mid-August despite registering three scoreless appearances in his only three innings of work. He’ll return to pitch in middle relief for the Braves.

Braves recalled RHP Chad Sobotka from their alternate training site.
The 27-year-old hurler has already appeared in three games for the Braves this season, hurling three scoreless innings with a 1.00 WHIP and 1/2 K/BB ratio. He figures to function as additional depth in middle relief for the Braves this time around.

Braves optioned RHP Chad Sobotka to their alternate training site; recalled him from their alternate training site.
Okay, bear with us. Sobotka was technically sent down after Saturday game but has remained with the club and will serve as their 29th man during Sunday’s doubleheader. He’ll likely be sent back down again after the doubleheader. Got it?
