The Twins are expected to activate Carlos Correa off the 7-day concussion injured list Friday.
Correa has reportedly made marked improvement, and the Twins have already announced that Ryan Fitzgerald has been demoted to Triple-A to make room. Minnesota may take some extra precautions, but all signs point to Correa being in the lineup Friday against the Royals in Minneapolis.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa is “coming along” from his concussion, but there is no timeline for when he or Byron Buxton (concussion) will be ready to return to the Twins’ lineup.
Correa is reportedly ahead of Buxton in terms of a return to play, but neither one of them seems ready to be activated imminently. Perhaps we’ll get ore clarity in the next couple of days.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Twins placed INF Carlos Correa on the 7-day concussion injured list.
The Twins were playing shorthanded without Correa, Byron Buxton and Harrison Bader, so eventually something had to give. He’ll have to pass through the concussion protocol before he’s cleared to rejoin the team. Brooks Lee should continue to see action at shortstop while Correa is shelved.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa (head) is not in the starting lineup for Friday’s game against the Brewers.
Both Correa and Buxton are out of the lineup a day after leaving Thursday’s game against the Orioles after a head-on collision in the field. Both are in the concussion protocol, and there’s a good chance they won’t be available for Saturday’s game as well. Brooks Lee is playing shortstop and hit third against the Brewers.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa has entered the concussion protocol after leaving Thursday’s game against the Orioles.
Both Correa and Byron Buxton have entered the protocol after colliding head first in the third inning of the series finale against Baltimore. It would be a real surprise if either player was in the lineup for Friday’s game, but their status will be determined by how quickly they’re able to get rid of their symptoms.

Carlos Correa left Thursday’s game against the Orioles with an apparent injury.
Correa suffered a collision with Byron Buxton in the field of play and he was unable to continue. It appeared that the two made head-to-head contact, but the Twins should announce exactly what the injury is before the conclusion of the contest with Baltimore. Buxton was able to continue, and Jonah Bride replaced Correa in the lineup.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa is not in the starting lineup for the second game of a doubleheader against the Twins on Wednesday.
Correa will be joined by Royce Lewis on the bench for the second game of the billing. The 30-year-old shortstop will get a breather with Brooks Lee starting at shortstop.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa is starting at shortstop and batting fifth for the Twins on Wednesday in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Orioles.
Correa was scratched from Sunday’s lineup, and the Twins have not played a game since. However, the 30-year-old is back in the lineup today, which means there may never have been any reason to be concerned.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa has been scratched from the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Giants.
No word yet on the reason for the move. Correa has dealt with a myriad of physical issues over the last few seasons, but he’s managed to stay mostly healthy this year. There should be an update on his status shortly. It’ll be Brooks Lee taking over at shortstop with Kody Clemens entering the lineup at second base.

Carlos Correa went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI on Tuesday as the Twins walloped the Orioles in Minneapolis.
Correa capped off a five-run uprising off of Cade Povich in the third inning with a 458-foot (109.0 mph EV) two-run shot that made it a 5-0 ballgame. He also tacked on a run-scoring single in the seventh inning for good measure. With the three-hit attack, Correa is now hitting .233/.270/.341 to go along with two homers and 12 RBI through his first 35 ballgames on the season.
