Carlos Correa is not in the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against the Orioles.
With the Twins eliminated, Correa may get a chance to rest over these final two games after returning from plantar fasciitis. Brooks Lee gets the nod at shortstop in his place.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa went 3-for-5 with a homer and two walks against the Marlins in Thursday’s loss.
Both walks were intentional, and some help would have been nice tonight. Correa’s homer was his first in 10 games since he came off the injured list. He’s hit 14 in 85 games this season, and his .313/.390/.522 line has made him one of the AL’s very best players when he’s been able to take the field.

Carlos Correa went 3-for-5 with four RBI against the Guardians on Wednesday.
Correa was responsible for all four of the Twins’ runs in just his third game back since returning from injury. He drove in a run on a fielder’s choice in the first inning and singled in another in the fifth inning. His bases-loaded two-run single in the top of the 10th inning, gave the Twins a 4-2 advantage. Correa is hitting .315 with a .910 OPS and 51 RBI on the year.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa is hitting sixth and playing shortstop Saturday against the Reds.
Correa will be playing for the first time in over two months while dealing with plantar fasciitis. The 29-year-old will likely move up in the lineup in the coming days, but for now will (potentially) have the chance to drive in players like Trevor Larnach and Byron Buxton.

Twins activated SS Carlos Correa from 10-day injured list.
Correa hasn’t played since July 12th due to plantar fasciitis and he’s returning in the thick of a playoff push for Minnesota without the benefit of a rehab assignment. Correa was enjoying an All-Star season before the injury, but don’t be surprised if he’s rusty upon return. He’s hitting .308 with 13 home runs and 47 RBI on the year.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
The Twins will activate Carlos Correa and send down DaShawn Keirsey Jr. prior to Saturday’s game.
Correa will be returning from plantar fasciitis without the benefit of a rehab assignment. Don’t be surprised if he gets off to a slow start offensively. Still, the Twins want his defense back at shortstop. Brooks Lee, who just hasn’t impressed with the bat in 38 major league games, will likely shift into a part-time role as a utilityman.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Despite sprinting three of the last four days, a “very encouraged” Carlos Correa indicated that his foot is feeling better than it has in quite some time.
The Athletic’s Dan Hayes said Correa was so excited about his progress that he approached reporters to provide the update. Correa is going to need to some at-bats after missing two months with plantar fasciitis, but it seems like he might finally be over the hump.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic and FOX Sports reported that Carlos Correa (plantar fasciitis) still expects to return before the season ends.
Correa talked to Rosenthal on Saturday, and that the last two days have been the best he’s felt running. He also acknowledged that there’s no set timetable, and that because plantar fasciitis is such a “weird” injury, there could be a setback at anytime. There’s still three weeks left in the year so a return seems very plausible, but fantasy managers will have to remain patient and can’t rely on Correa to be back in the lineup anytime (relatively) soon.

Carlos Correa (plantar fasciitis) is making progress in his recovery and called Friday a “great day” in terms of the work that he was able to get done.
Correa was able to sprint at full speed without issue on Friday and told reporters that “we’re trending the right way”. When asked when he may be able to return, the 29-year-old shortstop said, “I will get back in there. It’s just a matter of when”. He has been sidelined since July 20 due to plantar fasciitis in his right heel.
  • MIN Shortstop #4
Carlos Correa (plantar fasciitis) progressed to running at full speed earlier this week.
Twins head athletic trainer Nick Paparesta told reporters Friday that Correa will need to continue running for at least a full days without any pain before he’s cleared for a minor league rehab assignment. Barring any setbacks, he should be ready for rehab games at some point this upcoming week. The 29-year-old shortstop has been out since late July due to plantar fasciitis in his right heel, which has been a lingering issue the past few years.
