Mariners optioned OF Cade Marlowe to Triple-A Tacoma.
Marlowe didn’t see much playing time during his stay with the big-league club, going 2-for-8 (.250) with a run scored and a 1/1 K/BB ratio in eight games. He’ll return to an everyday role at the Triple-A level until he’s needed once again. Ryan Bliss was promoted from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Mariners recalled OF Cade Marlowe from Triple-A Tacoma.
Marlowe receives his first promotion to the majors this season amidst a flurry of roster moves for Seattle ahead of Tuesday’s showdown against the Angels. The 27-year-old outfielder, who got into 34 contests last year for Seattle, has batted .235/.341/.395 with 13 homers and 43 stolen bases across 411 plate appearances this season at the Triple-A level. There’s some five-category goodness in his profile, but it’s unclear whether he’ll put everything together at the highest level right out of the gate.

The Mariners optioned OF Cade Marlowe to Triple-A Tacoma; reassigned RHP Joey Krehbiel to minor league camp.
The Mariners have one of the deepest outfields in the majors, so it’s no surprise that Marlowe is being sent down. However, it’s a good problem to have for Seattle since Marlowe put together a solid 2023 season when he was in the majors slashing .239/.330/.420. He’ll be one of the first options for the Mariners to call up if there is an injury in the outfield.

Cade Marlowe hit a two-run homer against the Padres in Sunday’s loss.
The Mariners are almost certainly going to need some extra outfield help this year, and Marlowe will be one of the candidates to step in. He did a nice job in 34 major league games last season, hitting .239/.330/.420 even while striking out one-third of the time. His ample speed gives him some fantasy potential, but hitting for average figures to be a long-term issue.

Mariners optioned OF Cade Marlowe to Triple-A Tacoma.
With Jarred Kelenic (foot) returning from the injured list on Monday, Marlowe will return to an everyday role at the Triple-A level. The 26-year-old hit .239/.330/.420 with three homers, 11 RBI and four swipes in 88 at-bats during his time with the big league club.
  • SEA Center Fielder #44
Julio Rodríguez is absent from the Mariners’ starting lineup for Monday night’s battle against Touki Toussaint and the White Sox.
It’s a rare day off for the 22-year-old superstar outfielder. He has been absolutely sizzling at the plate as of late — slashing .398/.429/.690 with seven homers, 28 RBI and 10 stolen bases over his last 24 games. Cade Marlowe will start in his place in center field on Monday and bat seventh for the M’s.

Cade Marlowe went 2-for-3 with a stolen base on Thursday in the Mariners’ win over the Royals.
Marlowe has been a revelation for Seattle, and fantasy managers as well, since being called up in late July from Triple-A Tacoma, slashing a sublime .293/.397/.483 with two homers and three steals in just 68 plate appearances. The 26-year-old outfielder figures to continue playing regularly against right-handed pitching and is certainly providing a spark for the Mariners thanks to his power/speed combo production.

Cade Marlowe launched a go-ahead grand slam in the ninth inning on Thursday, propelling the Mariners to a 5-3 comeback victory over the Angels.
Wow. Marlowe connected on a two-strike offering from Angels closer Carlos Estévez to put Seattle ahead in dramatic fashion during a low-scoring showdown in Los Angeles. It was his second career homer and wound up being the difference in this one. The 26-year-old rookie outfielder has gotten off to an excellent start at the plate, batting .333 through 12 games since being called up from Triple-A Tacoma.
  • SEA Outfielder #18
Cade Marlowe went 2-for-3 with his first major league homer, a walk, a steal and two runs scored versus the Twins on Tuesday.
There’s been talk about the Mariners picking up a left fielder with Jarred Kelenic out, but Marlowe doesn’t want that; he’s 3-for-9 with two walks and two steals since his callup. As a platoon guy hitting at the bottom of a mediocre lineup, it’s going to be tough for him to amass fantasy value unless he does a whole bunch of running. Still, he is a very good basestealer, making him an option in deeper leagues at least.
  • SEA Outfielder #10
Mariners placed OF Jarred Kelenic on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left foot.
It was an avoidable situation, as Kelenic reportedly suffered the injury kicking the water cooler after striking out on Wednesday. The lapse in judgment could end his season, though there’s no clear timetable for his return just yet. The 24-year-old was enjoying a bit of a bounceback season, hitting .252/.320/.439 with 11 home runs and 12 steals in 90 games. The Mariners called up Cade Marlowe to take Kelenic’s spot on the roster, and starts in left field could be split between Marlowe, AJ Pollock, and Dylan Moore for the time being.
