Bryan Reynolds homered twice to help the Pirates to a 4-2 win over the Yankees on Friday.
Reynolds tied the game with a solo homer in the sixth, and then broke a 2-2 tie with a two-run blast in the eighth. He’s now up to 24 homers and a solid 88 RBI The outfielder has hit .276/.344/.450, and while this is essentially Reynolds’ ceiling, it’s not far from his floor, either. Good player, that Bryan Reynolds.

According to Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pirates are calling up prospect infielder Nick Yorke.
Yorke, who the team acquired from the Red Sox at the trade deadline is the Pirates’ 6th-ranked prospect. Since coming to the Pirates, he’s hitting .355 with a .938 OPS and seven steals in 40 games. On the season, he has 12 home runs and 21 steals in 123 games, so he profiles as more of a 15/15 or 15/20 player at the next level which puts him on the deep league radar. He has been playing mainly second base and left field since coming to Pittsburgh but with Nick Gonzales and Bryan Reynolds playing regularly in those spots, it will be curious to see how Yorke is used once he gets to the big leagues.

Bryan Reynolds went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in a win over the Marlins on Tuesday.
Reynolds came into the game going just 6-for-35 in his first nine games in September. He has continued to make a good amount of contact, so it was likely only a matter of time before the contact turned into hits, but a series against the Marlins is a good remedy for a slump. While the Pirates’ struggles have led to a lower run total than we’re used to seeing from Reynolds, the rest of his stats are right around his career norms or better in what has been a solid season for the 29-year-old.

Bryan Reynolds belted his 20th home run of the season on Monday in a blowout loss to the Cubs.
It was a forgettable evening for the Pirates overall in a one-sided affair, but Reynolds was one of the few bright spots as he reached the 20-homer plateau for the fourth consecutive season since 2021. The 29-year-old fantasy stalwart is on pace to threaten his previous career-high mark of 27 big flies, which he set back in 2022.

Bryan Reynolds is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Mariners.
It appears to be a routine off day for Reynolds, who is batting just .254 (16-for-63) with one homer and 23 strikeouts over his last 15 games. The mental break will probably pay dividends and get him back on track at the dish.
