    Astros released RHP Bryan Garcia.
Garcia signed a minor league contract with the Astros back in February and has been cut loose after struggling in 15 appearances (nine starts) for Triple-A Sugar Land. The 28-year-old righty has made 76 appearances (four starts) in the majors dating back to 2019.

Astros reassigned RHP Bryan Garcia to minor league camp.
Garcia actually pitched pretty well this spring, but apparently not good enough to make the Opening Day roster. The 27-year-old made four starts for the Tigers last year and should serve as upper-level depth this season.

Astros signed RHP Bryan Garcia to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 27-year-old hurler elected free agency back in November rather than accepting an outright assignment to Triple-A Toledo. He actually did a nice job for the Tigers in 2022 -- posting a 3.54 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a 17/10 K/BB ratio over 20 1/3 innings in his four starts. He’ll add rotation depth for the Astros and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him make starts with the big league club during the 2023 season.

Bryan Garcia has elected free agency.
Garcia refused an outright minor league assignment after being removed from the Tigers’ 40-man roster earlier this week. The 27-year-old right-hander held his own this past season in the majors, finishing with a 3.54 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 17/10 K/BB ratio across 20 1/3 innings (four starts). He should be able to latch on elsewhere as organizational pitching depth.

Tigers sent RHP Bryan Garcia outright to Triple-A Toledo.
Garcia, an occasional closer for the Tigers in 2020 and ’21, made just four appearances in the majors last season, all of them starts. He had a 3.54 ERA in those games, but his 17/10 K/BB ratio 20 1/3 innings was less impressive. He can now choose to become a free agent.

Bryan Garcia held the Mariners to three runs while going 6 2/3 innings on Monday against the Mariners.
Garcia was making a spot start on Monday, and it went well. The right-hander struck out six while allowing five hits with just two walks. The 27-year-old has done a decent job when given a chance to pitch in 2022, and finishes with a 3.54 ERA in his 19 1/3 innings with Detroit over four starts. Garcia should get chance to make the Tigers out of spring, either as a starter or middle reliever.

Tigers recalled RHP Bryan Garcia from Triple-A Toledo.
Garcia will take the ball on Monday evening against the Mariners in Seattle. The 27-year-old right-hander holds a respectable 3.29 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 11/8 K/BB ratio over 13 2/3 innings (three starts) this season in the majors. He’s a risky streaming option for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues.

Bryan Garcia will be recalled from Triple-A Toledo to start against the Mariners on Monday.
The 27-year-old right-hander has already made three starts for the Tigers this season, registering a 3.29 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 11/8 K/BB ratio over 13 2/3 innings. There are probably better options out there for those looking to stream starting pitchers over the final week of the regular season. Joey Wentz was optioned to Triple-A Toledo to make room for Garcia on the club’s active roster.

Bryan Garcia gave up three runs over six innings in a win over the Guardians in the second game of Monday’s doubleheader.
Garcia got his first win in three starts this year. He has a 3.29 ERA in those three outings, and he went without a walk tonight after giving up eight in his previous 7 2/3 innings. He might get a longer look soon.

Tigers recalled RHP Bryan Garcia from Triple-A Toledo.
Garcia has excelled in a pair of spot starts this season and will get another opportunity on Monday evening in the nightcap of a doubleheader against the Guardians. The 27-year-old righty has allowed two runs on four hits with a 6/8 K/BB ratio across 7 2/3 innings in two starts this season in the majors.
