The Marlins will tender all of their arbitration-eligible players, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson.
Those players include three likely members of the rotation in Jesús Luzardo, Edward Cabrera, Braxton Garrett, as well as outfielder Jesús Sánchez, catcher Nick Fortes and reliever Anthony Bender. No one from the group stood out as a non-tender candidate, but the Marlins might have let Luzardo or Garrett go if they were particularly worried about the state of their arms after they missed much of last season. Fortes will also get to stick around after his improved finish, though it’d be great if he were pushed into a backup role by either Agustin Ramirez or an outside acquisition.

Braxton Garrett was diagnosed with a left elbow impingement last week, the Marlins stated.
Garrett spent the second half of the season working his way back from a flexor tendon strain and made three minor league rehab starts in September, but the Marlins declined to activate him for the final 10 days, even though he seemed ready to return. Now we know why. Garrett also missed the start of his year with a shoulder impingement, and he wound up making just seven starts for the Marlins in May and June. If healthy, he’ll be penciled into next year’s rotation.

Braxton Garrett pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts for Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.
Garrett, out since June with a forearm strain, has thrown 10 2/3 scoreless innings over three appearances on his rehab assignment. He’ll likely rejoin the Marlins to make one start next week.

Braxton Garrett (forearm) struck out five over three scoreless innings on Thursday in a minor league rehab start for Low-A Jupiter.
Garrett allowed two hits, walked two and threw 38 pitches (23 strikes) over three strong frames in his first rehab outing since landing on the injured list back in late June due to a forearm flexor tendon strain. The 27-year-old lefty is probably going to need at least one or two additional outings before returning to Miami’s starting rotation.

Braxton Garrett (forearm) will make a minor league rehab start on Thursday for Low-A Jupiter.
Garrett, who has been on the shelf since late June due to a left forearm flexor tendon strain, threw a bullpen session on Tuesday and will progress to a minor league rehab start later this week. The 27-year-old southpaw might be able to make it back before the regular season wraps up, but he’s up against a ticking clock.

Marlins transferred LHP Braxton Garrett to the 60-day injured list.
Garrett landed on the injured list back in late June with a left forearm flexor tendon strain and appears likely to miss the remainder of the season.

Marlins placed LHP Braxton Garrett on the 15-day injured list with a left forearm flexor tendon strain.
The hits just keep on coming to Miami’s injury-ravaged starting rotation with Garrett becoming the latest to fall victim to the injury bug. The major concern here is that forearm flexor tendon strains are often a precursor to more significant elbow issues, which could wind up leading to surgery. The 26-year-old southpaw will presumably undergo a battery of tests to determine the severity of the issue after experiencing elbow discomfort earlier this week. Barring an unexpected development, fantasy managers shouldn’t anticipate him returning anytime soon.

MLB.com’s Christina De Nicola reports Braxton Garrett won’t start Sunday against the Mariners due to left elbow discomfort.
It’s a virtual lock that Garrett will land on the injured list later this weekend and it’s yet another devastating hit to Miami’s injury-depleted starting rotation. At this point, there’s almost nobody left from the Marlins’ pre-season pitching plans. There should be an update on the 26-year-old southpaw’s status once he undergoes some additional testing and imaging to determine the extent of the matter.

Braxton Garrett yielded one run over six innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Cardinals.
Garrett recorded six strikeouts and held the Cardinals to just a fifth-inning solo homer by Michael Siani over six strong frames. It was a much-needed rebound effort for the 26-year-old lefty after being tagged for 11 runs (nine earned) over his previous two starts against the Mets and Rays, respectively. He’ll bring a lackluster 5.35 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 34/4 K/BB ratio across 37 innings (seven starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Mariners.

Braxton Garrett struggled in a losing effort against the Mets on Wednesday night, giving up six runs (four earned) on seven hits over his 4 2/3 frames.
Garrett punched out four batters on the night and didn’t walk a batter. Most of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Harrison Bader crushing a two-run homer in the opening inning and Starling Marte added a solo shot in the third. The Mets also scratched out three runs in the second inning — helped by some shoddy defense by the Marlins. The 26-year-old southpaw got eight whiffs on 89 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll carry an unappealing 6.10 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and a 28/4 K/BB ratio (31 innings) into Monday’s matchup against the Cardinals.
