Athletics signed RHP Austin Pruitt to a minor league contract.
Pruitt made four relief appearances earlier this season for the Rangers and is back for another stint with Oakland as emergency relief depth. The 34-year-old journeyman right-hander has made 154 appearances in the majors dating back to 2017.

Rangers transferred RHP Austin Pruitt from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.
Pruitt has been on the shelf since April 24 with a right meniscus injury. He now won’t be eligible to return to the Rangers until June 24 at the earliest. The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster, and Texas used it to select the contract of Derek Hill from Triple-A Round Rock.

Rangers placed RHP Austin Pruitt on the 15-day injured list with a right meniscus injury.
No word from the Rangers yet on the severity of the injury, or how long Pruitt may be sidelined for. Grant Anderson was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move to take his place in the club’s bullpen. Pruitt had registered a 12.46 ERA, 2.54 WHIP and a 1/3 K/BB ratio over 4 1/3 innings in four appearances with the big league club.

Rangers selected the contract of RHP Austin Pruitt from Triple-A Round Rock.
Pruitt gets the call to join Texas’ bullpen mix after southpaw Brock Burke broke his non-throwing hand on Friday when he punched a clubhouse wall out of frustration. The 34-year-old veteran made 38 relief appearances last year for the rebuilding Athletics and figures to operate in low-leverage spots.

Rangers signed RHP Austin Pruitt to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Pruitt, 34, had a 2.98 ERA in 48 1/3 innings for the A’s last season, but he finished the season on the shelf with a forearm strain. If not for that, he might have gotten a major league deal this winter. He’ll have a shot at winning a bullpen spot if healthy.

Athletics sent RHP Austin Pruitt outright to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Pruitt posted a solid 2.98 ERA and a 30/12 K/BB in 48 1/3 innings this season. One imagines the team will offer him a minor league deal to stick around.

Athletics placed RHP Austin Pruitt on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm strain.
Yikes. The 33-year-old was pitching well for the rebuilding Oakland ball club. Pruitt posted a 2.98 ERA and 1.16 WHIp across 38 games (six starts). Dany Jiménez was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding transaction.

Trevor May fired a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Rangers to collect his 12th save of the season.
May received the call to protect a two-run lead in the final frame against the heart of the Rangers’ lineup and managed to work around a pair of two-out singles to lock down the save. The 33-year-old veteran stopper combined with fellow relievers Austin Pruitt, Freddy Tarnok, Angel Felipe and Kirby Snead on a four-hit shutout in this one.

Paul Blackburn has been scratched from Saturday’s start against the Red Sox due to illness.
It’ll be Austin Pruitt taking the ball on Saturday afternoon in his place as Oakland will roll with a bullpen game instead at Fenway Park.

Austin Pruitt will serve as the Athletics’ opener on Saturday against the Astros.
Pruitt will likely work an inning or two before handing the ball to rookie left-hander Hogan Harris for a bulk relief appearance. It’s obviously a situation fantasy managers will want to avoid altogether.
