Hill was in camp this spring as a non-roster invitee on a minor league contract and is likely to miss a few weeks due to a right hamstring strain that he suffered last weekend. All three pitchers -- Tetreault, Castro and Brzykcy -- are also dealing with injuries this spring and will open the year rehabbing in the minors.

Castro, 27, served up 15 runs -- 11 earned -- in 13 1/3 innings of work at the MLB level last year with the Guardians. His career ERA is 6.00. He’s a depth piece for Washington.

Castro was claimed off waivers by the Orioles near the end of the season from the Guardians, but he was designated for assignment in October without throwing a pitch for Baltimore. He’ll be organizational depth for someone in 2023.

Castro went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment last week by the Orioles and will likely remain with the organization as extra relief depth heading into the 2023 campaign.

Castro was claimed off waivers from the Guardians in early September but didn’t wind up seeing any action with the Orioles and is now in DFA limbo. The 27-year-old has a career 6.00 ERA in 38 relief appearances.

Castro will report to Triple-A Norfolk as extra organizational relief depth for the Orioles after being designated for assignment earlier this week by the Guardians. The 27-year-old right-hander has made 12 unremarkable relief appearances this season in the majors.

Castro has been shuttled back and forth between the minors and majors this year while allowing 15 runs -- 11 earned -- in 13 1/3 innings for the Guardians. The 27-year-old seems likely to pass through waivers unclaimed.

Castro has been shipped back to the minors to make room for lefty Kirk McCarty to get the call back to the big leagues.

The move was made prior to Friday’s game against the White Sox. The 27-year-old has registered a 7.94 ERA, 2.38 WHIP and 12/10 K/BB ratio over 11 1/3 innings with the Guardians this season.

Castro will head to the minors after struggling with the Guardians, giving up ten runs across 11 1/3 innings. Alex Young will take his place on the active roster.
