Felipe will continue his rehabilitation from Tommy John surgery with Los Angeles after being released a few weeks ago by the division-rival Athletics. The 26-year-old righty made 14 relief appearances last year for Oakland in his first taste of the majors. He should be ready to contribute by the outset of the 2025 campaign.

Felipe will head to free agency just a few days after being jettisoned from Oakland’s 40-man roster following Tommy John surgery. The 26-year-old righty should be able to latch on somewhere to continue his rehabilitation, but won’t be able to contribute until 2025.

It’s a tough break for Felipe as he’ll lose his spot on Oakland’s 40-man roster while recovering from Tommy John surgery. The 26-year-old righty underwent the season-ending procedure earlier this week and won’t return until the 2025 campaign.

Felipe made 14 relief appearances last season for the Athletics and will miss the entire 2024 campaign following the surgical procedure. The 26-year-old righty should be healthy next year in time for the start of spring training.

Felipe had a 4.20 ERA in 15 innings out of the pen for the A’s last season before missing the final six weeks with an elbow sprain. Tommy John will cost him the entire season and perhaps the start of 2025.

It’s a tough development for the Athletics as Felipe has blossomed into a viable high-leverage option since being claimed off waivers back in mid-June from the Padres. No word on how long he’ll wind up sidelined, but there’s a chance his season is effectively over.

May received the call to protect a two-run lead in the final frame against the heart of the Rangers’ lineup and managed to work around a pair of two-out singles to lock down the save. The 33-year-old veteran stopper combined with fellow relievers Austin Pruitt, Freddy Tarnok, Angel Felipe and Kirby Snead on a four-hit shutout in this one.

The 25-year-old right-hander was away from the club for a few days to welcome a new addition to the family. He has been outstanding in his limited action with the A’s, registering a 1.42 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and a 6/4 K/BB ratio over 6 1/3 innings of work.

Felipe joined the A’s earlier this month and has since allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings. He’ll be back in a few days.

Felipe will get a look with the Athletics prior to the All-Star break after being claimed off waivers last month from the Padres. The 25-year-old righty will be making his big-league debut when he gets into a game.
