    Acevedo posted a promising 2.59 ERA in 59 innings this past season between High-A Tampa, Double-A Trenton, and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre -- affiliates of the Yankees. The 25-year-old former infield prospect became a minor league free agent earlier this month and found himself a major league deal. He’ll be in the running for a bullpen job next spring in Cubs camp.
