Rays acquired RHP Andrew Lindsey, INF Erick Lara and a PTBN or cash from the Marlins for INF Vidal Bruján and RHP Calvin Faucher.
The Rays are clearing a couple of 40-man spots in picking up players who won’t have to be added for years. Lindsey, a 6-foor-4 righty, was the Marlins’ fifth-round pick this year out of Tennessee. Lara, 17, played in the Dominican Summer League last season, hitting .305/.416/.445 in 34 games.
