Phillies promoted SS prospect Aidan Miller to Double-A Reading.
Miller after going 5-for-5 with his 11th home run of the season on Sunday in his final contest for High-A Jersey Shore. The 20-year-old top prospect, who was selected 27th overall in last year’s MLB Draft, put together a sizzling-hot August, batting .299 (29-for-97) with 13 extra-base hits — three home runs — and five steals over 25 contests. He’s batted .265/.373/.460 with 11 homers and 22 steals across 97 games this season between High-A Jersey Shore and Low-A Clearwater. There will be some differences of opinion, but Miller is a borderline top 25 prospect for dynasty purposes heading into 2025.
  • PHI Third Baseman
Phillies SS prospect Aidan Miller went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer on Friday for High-A Jersey Shore.
Miller has homered in back-to-back games and has reached base safely in 10 of 12 contests since the start of August. The 20-year-old shortstop has cooled off in recent months after making a huge leap up industry-wide dynasty rankings in the earlier stages of the year. He’s worked his way into the conversation of the elite shortstop prospects in the game, even though his ultimate defensive home might be the hot corner, and he’s a likely top-25 overall prospect heading into next year.
  • WAS Center Fielder #3
Nationals OF prospect Dylan Crews is in right field and batting second for the National League during Saturday’s All-Star Futures Game at Globe Life Field.
There are some lingering questions marks for Crews in the hard contact department, but the second-overall selection from the loaded 2023 MLB Draft has been excellent this season in the upper minors, batting .267/.331/.433 with eight homers and 20 thefts in 71 games between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Rochester. He figures to arrive in the big leagues at some point following the All-Star break. We could spend hours discussing the rest of this fascinating assortment of prospects that includes some of the fastest-rising names in fantasy circles. Here’s the rest of the senior circuit’s lineup: Justin Crawford LF, Crews RF, Termarr Johnson 2B, Bryce Eldridge 1B, Ethan Salas C, Druw Jones CF, Cam Collier 3B, Aidan Miller SS and Drake Baldwin DH.
  • PHI Third Baseman
Phillies promoted SS prospect Aidan Miller to High-A Jersey Shore.
Miller has emerged as one of the top dynasty prospects in baseball this season with a robust .884 OPS with five homers and 10 steals in 182 plate appearances over 39 games for Low-A Clearwater to open the year. The 20-year-old shortstop was selected 27th overall in last July’s MLB Draft and is already a borderline top-25 dynasty prospect moving forward.

Phillies INF prospect Aidan Miller went 2-for-5 with a homer and a stolen base for Low-A Clearwater on Thursday.
Miller’s homer is the first of the 2024 campaign, and the steal is already the fifth. The 2023 first-round pick has shown off his impressive tools in the early portion of the season, and while there’s a long way to go, he has a chance to be above-average or better across the board. Miller is someone who must be rostered in dynasty formats, even if you’re unlikely to see him in the majors until 2026 at the earliest.

Phillies signed first-round pick 3B Aidan Miller.
Miller receives a $3.1 million signing bonus, which is roughly $100,000 over slot value for the 27th overall pick. The prep third baseman was a highly-regarded prospect entering the year before suffering a fractured hamate bone in his wrist.

Phillies selected J.W. Mitchell HS (New Port Richey, FL) 3B Aidan Miller with the 27th pick of the 2023 MLB Draft.
Miller was getting hyped as a likely top-five pick coming into the year, but a broken hamate bone slowed him down. He’s also a little older than most high schoolers, having already turned 19 last month. Still, there’s a lot of offensive potential here; ideally, he’ll offer 30-homer power while also hitting for a solid average. He should also be able to stick at third base for the foreseeable future. His older brother, Jackson, was a second-round selection by the Reds from the 2020 draft class.
