Adolis García was diagnosed with a left patella tendon strain after undergoing an MRI earlier this month.

Rangers general manager Chris Young told reporters Tuesday that Adolis García will undergo an MRi on his left knee.
García missed Sunday’s game with a sore knee after picking up the injury Saturday during the Rangers’ game against the Angels. The 31-year-old is a bounceback candidate after a disappointing 2024 season, but he may need to overcome an injury this offseason to go along with the poor results.

Adolis Garcia went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run against the Angels on Friday.
Garcia’s home run was his 25th of the season. He hit a solo shot off Reid Detmers in the first inning. Garcia has had at least 25 home runs, 85 RBI and nine stolen bases in each of the last four seasons. While his average is merely .224 this year, Garcia’s consistency in the other categories makes him a good value if he’s discounted in 2025 drafts.

García knocked a base hit in the first inning, then took Brady Basso deep for a two-run shot in the third inning to extend the Rangers’ lead. The 31-year-old outfielder is up to 24 homers while slashing .223/.283/.396 with 66 runs scored, 83 RBI, and 11 steals across 626 plate appearances.

Adolis García went 3-for-4 in a loss Friday to the Mariners.
García doubled and singled twice. The 31-year-old has not been a big helper in the average category, and that’s his first three-hit game since August 15. He’s a strong bounceback category for 2025, even if 2024 has been a fairly significant disappointment.

Adolis García went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer to power the Rangers to a 2-0 win over the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
García broke a scoreless tie in the sixth inning with a two-run blast off Bowden Francis. It was hit second home run of the month and just his fifth since the start of August in what has been a cold second half in the power department for the 31-year-old slugger. García is slashing .218/.281/.391 with 23 homers, 64 runs scored, 80 RBI, and 11 steals across 601 plate appearances.

Adolis Garcia went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run against the Angels on Thursday.
Garcia’s home run was his 22nd of the year. He hit a three-run shot off Jack Kochanowicz in the first inning. It’s been a rough year for Garcia. He’s hitting .222 with 72 RBI and 11 stolen bases. This is what the floor looks like for the 31-year-old outfielder, who will likely be a steal in drafts next year provided he bounces back.

Adolis García went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts as the Rangers’ cleanup man Monday against the Yankees.
García got hot for a couple of weeks last month, but now he’s 9-for-49 with a 19/1 K/BB ratio and zero runs scored in his last 13 games. The Rangers might try dropping him in the order again, but it’s not like anyone else has really staked a claim to the cleanup spot.
