Trevor Megill allowed the automatic runner to score in the 10th but was uninvolved in the decision as the Brewers lost to the Orioles on Wednesday.
Both teams allowed lone runs in the 10th before the Orioles won the game in the 11th. Megill’s appearance today was his third in four days, so he might be unavailable on Thursday. He already lost a save chance last night because of the workload. Abner Uribe picked up that one, and since he was spared today, he might get another save chance Thursday.

Abner Uribe picked up his first save of the 2025 season on Tuesday, striking out the side in the ninth inning to protect a three-run lead against the Orioles.
Uribe got his chance to shine in the ninth inning and he wasn’t messing around — striking out Cedric Mullins, Heston Kjerstad and Ramon Urias in succession to put an emphatic exclamation point on his first save of the year. He has been outstanding all season, registering a 1.19 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 32/10 K/BB ratio across 22 2/3 innings in his first 24 appearances. It’s still Trevor Megill’s job, but Uribe has shown to be more than an adequate fill-in.

Brewers activated RHP Abner Uribe from the restricted list.
Uribe was handed a six-game suspension last May, which he had reduced on appeal, but never wound up serving because he was subsequently optioned to the minors and underwent season-ending knee surgery. The 24-year-old righty will be available out of the bullpen for Tuesday’s showdown against the Royals.

Abner Uribe (knee) is scheduled to make his spring debut Wednesday against the White Sox.
Uribe underwent knee surgery in July and missed the remainder of the 2024 campaign. The right-hander has electric stuff, and gives Milwaukee a potential high-leverage reliever for the 2025 campaign.

Brewers General Manager Matt Arnold said reliever Abner Uribe “should be ready to go for the start of Spring Training.”
Uribe underwent knee surgery at the beginning of July after posting a 6.91 ERA in 14.1 innings in 2024. The 24-year-old does possess high-upside raw stuff, so the Brewers will undoubtedly want him in the MLB bullpen at the start of 2025 and hope that it’s the year he can put it all together.

Abner Uribe (knee) posted on his Instagram page that he will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.
Uribe was placed on the minor league IL back at the beginning of June and underwent surgery a few weeks later. In his post, he mentioned that he is “as determined as I’ve ever been to make sure I am 100% ready for spring training 2025.”

Abner Uribe will undergo right knee surgery.
Uribe picked up a handful of saves at the outset of the year for Milwaukee before struggling to the point that he was demoted by the start of May to Triple-A Nashville. The hard-throwing 23-year-old righty is expected to undergo a surgical procedure in the coming days to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee.

Abner Uribe was placed on the IL at Triple-A Nashville because of a right knee injury.
The Brewers will know more after he has an MRI next week. Uribe opened the year as the Brewers’ primary closer, but he was sent down May 1 after amassing a 6.91 ERA in 14 1/3 innings. He allowed just one run but walked seven in 8 2/3 innings in Triple-A before getting hurt.

Brewers optioned RHP Abner Uribe to Triple-A Nashville.
Uribe opened the season as the Brewers’ closer, but wound up posting a troublesome 6.91 ERA and 1.88 WHIP over 14 1/3 innings. He was also a major player in Tuesday’s scuffle with Jose Siri and the Rays, resulting in a six-game suspension that he’s appealing. He’ll try to get back on track at Triple-A.

Abner Uribe was suspended six games after a brawl with Jose Siri on Tuesday.
Uribe will reportedly appeal the six-game suspension. The 23-year-old swung at Jose Siri near first base in the eighth inning after the two players exchanged words. Uribe had to be held back by his own teammates and he was ultimately brought down to the dugout and ejected from the game. “There were some words shared that didn’t have much to do with the game that probably shouldn’t have been shared there in that exchange,” Uribe said.
