Darvin Ham has chosen to not retain David Fizdale, Mike Penberthy, and John Lucas III to the Lakers’ coaching staff, Dave McMenamin reported on Tuesday.
Ham has elected to bring in his own coaching staff, which makes sense for a new head coach. Fizdale, Penberthy, and Lucas were part of the old regime under Frank Vogel but will now be looking for jobs elsewhere. Fizdale’s head coaching experience should allow him to land on his feet smoothly.
