The Bucs will initially work out rookie wideout Michael Clayton as Keenan McCardell’s backup in the flanker spot.
Joey Galloway, Joe Jurevicious, and Charles Lee will work as deep threats from the weakside. The entire Bucs team and staff have been glowing about Clayton’s early performances. We expect Clayton to make some noise as a rookie, and emerge as a quality fantasy starter in time.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Michael Clayton continues to work his way back from offseason knee surgery.
''He’s got to work himself back into the Michael Clayton that we know and expect,’' coach Jon Gruden said. ''There’s going to be a period where he’s got to push through it. He’s doing the best he can. This defense is unyielding. They will show no mercy, so it’s not going to get easier tomorrow or the next day.’'
  • FA Wide Receiver
Bucs WR Michael Clayton will play in Tampa’s preseason opener.
He is suffering from a minor toe injury, but it can’t be too serious.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Michael Clayton is again suffering from case of turf toe.
Clayton, a fine mid- to late-round sleeper this season, dealt with the same injury late in ’05. While he is expected to play in Friday’s exhibition opener, Clayton should be monitored as a high-upside value pick.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Michael Clayton led the Bucs with three catches for 34 yards Sunday.
Tampa’s passing game was dominated, but Clayton appeared to have some of his speed back on a 27-yard catch. Joey Galloway didn’t catch a ball. Clayton is still a solid WR3 option against Atlanta next week.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Buccaneers WR Michael Clayton is expected to start next week at wide receiver.
Clayton had a sterling week one, probably the best offensive player on the field for Tampa. He’s worth picking up if you need WR help.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Michael Clayton led the Bucs with seven receptions and 53 yards today.
Impressive showing by the rookie. He’s worth stashing in deep point-per-recption leagues.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Giants placed WR Michael Clayton on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.
Clayton suffered a torn meniscus in practice on Saturday, and will undergo surgery Monday. Although the Giants have dealt with a number of receiver injuries this season, Clayton was active for only five games, making zero catches. Clayton has just two receptions in 11 games since the end of the 2009 season. If he has a football future, it’s only on special teams.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Michael Clayton caught four passes for 91 yards and a touchdown in week four.
Clayton did most of his damage on a 51-yard score that occured because John Lynch didn’t tackle Clayton once he hit the ground. The rookie is the most valuable Bucs receiver right now, for what it’s worth.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Michael Clayton caught eight passes for 142 yards in week six.
The rookie standout is making it look easy. He has 31 catches and 443 yards in six games as a pro. He’s a solid WR3 option.
