The Seahawks will continue to do tests on Matt Hasselbeck’s elbow.
They aren’t sure why it went numb during the fourth-quarter. He has some sort of nerve problem that prevented him from throwing late in the game.
  • FA Quarterback #8
Matt Hasselbeck could miss practice time this week because he bruised his thigh just above the right knee.
“It’s not real good. But I’m going to work hard this week and try to get better, and hopefully be ready to go,” Hasselbeck said. The Seahawks could be without Koren Robinson this week and will be facing a solid Miami pass defense.
  • FA Quarterback #8
Matt Hasselbeck did not practice Friday, but worked on lateral movement.
Trent Dilfer worked with the first team offense.
  • FA Quarterback #8
Matt Hasselbeck, questionable with a deep thigh bruise, returned to Seahawks practice Friday- a day early.
Hasselbeck reportedly threw well despite a limp. “Part of test was today, I didn’t regress,” Hasselbeck said. “So that will be the same thing tomorrow, that I don’t regress. I think I’ll be fine.” It looks like he’ll be ready.
  • FA Quarterback #8
Matt Hasselbeck expects to re-sign with the Seahawks this offseason.
He’d be extremely attractive to suitors on the open market, so Seattle will be very motivated to get this deal done shortly. It should get done well before March.
  • FA Quarterback #8
Matt Hasselbeck has been cleared to start against Arizona Sunday.
He should have a nice game with the division on the line. Linebacker Chad Brown and receiver Darrell Jackson also practiced and should start against the Cardinals. It will be the first time this season that Jackson, Koren Robinson, Jerry Rice, and Bobby Engram have all been healthy and available for Hasselbeck.
  • FA Quarterback #8
Matt Hasselbeck is expected to practice Wednesday and start this weekend.
“This is the best I’ve ever felt on a Monday this whole season. It’s kind of nice,” said Hasselbeck.
  • FA Quarterback #8
The Seahawks have reached a long-term contract agreement with Matt Hasselbeck.
The last-minute decision means the Seahawks can franchise Shaun Alexander, keeping their nucleus intact for at least one more year. The wisdom of this following a 9-7 season can be questioned, but keeping Hasselbeck was a must. 2005 will be a solid season to draft him because his stock will be relatively low. Terms will be announced later today.
  • FA Quarterback #8
Matt Hasselbeck, probable with an elbow injury, did not throw passes at Seahawks practice Wednesday.
They are just resting him before this weekend’s huge game. Look for a big day versus Arizona, who is missing a few key defenders.
  • FA Quarterback #8
Matt Hasselbeck could have played Sunday, but didn’t think he could play the whole game.
Small consolation for fantasy owners that played him. Hasselbeck said he’ll be ready for practice Wednesday and will start next Sunday. If the Seahawks clinch the NFC West tonight, don’t bet on it.
