  • SAC Shooting Guard #8
Mason Jones accounted for 11 points (4-of-8 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal, one blocked shot, and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes in Sunday’s 85-61 win over the Spurs.
Jones has played well in both of Sacramento’s games to open the summer, good timing for a player currently on a two-way contract. The news that Devin Carter will have to undergo shoulder surgery may crack the door open for Jones, especially with it unknown if the rookie will be healthy at the start of training camp. Jones isn’t a player who fantasy managers should consider selecting in most league drafts, but there may be times during the season when he’s allowed to show what he can do.

Mason Jones accumulated 19 points (5-of-8 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, five assists, and five 3-pointers in 22 minutes in Saturday’s 101-50 win over Team China.
As expected, the Kings dominated their summer opener, with the team’s most experienced players leading the way. Jones knocked down five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 19 points, with Keon Ellis adding 18. Jones is on a two-way contract, and the addition of Devin Carter likely makes it more difficult for him to crack the rotation once the games count. However, more performances like Saturday’s could put Mason in a position to fight for regular season minutes, even if it isn’t enough to make him a viable fantasy option.

Mason Jones has signed a two-way deal with the Kings, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Jones has been playing with the Stockton Kings this season, and he will likely continue to spend most of his time in the G-League, so this won’t impact fantasy hoops.

Max Christie hit just 3-of-12 shots and two 3-pointers for eight points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 24 minutes of Tuesday’s SL win over the Clippers.
Christie hasn’t done much this summer after being taken with the 35th pick in the draft and will just be looking to hang on to a roster spot on the Lakers this year. Mason Jones was solid with 15 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and a 3-pointer off the bench tonight. He went undrafted out of Arkansas in 2020 and is also just trying to find a place to play this season.

Mason Jones is signing a two-way contract with the Lakers.
Jones has been playing really well in the G League this season with averages of 18.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 1.8 triples, 1.2 steals and 2.9 turnovers per game on 51.8% shooting from the field and 81.3% from the stripe, so it’ll be interesting to see what he can do while the Lakers are missing most of their backcourt players.

Mason Jones won’t play for the Sixers on Tuesday due a coach’s decision.
If you knew that he played for the Sixers after getting cut by the Rockets, you’re ahead of the curve.

Mason Jones hit 5-of-7 shots, 4-of-5 3-pointers, and 0-of-3 free throws for 14 points, three assists, one rebound, and one turnover in a loss to the Celtics on Sunday.
Jones was waived a week ago and re-signed to a 10-day contract on Friday. Clearly, he can produce if given the time. He scored 14 points and four 3-pointers in just 12 minutes of the blowout loss. If the Rockets’ core remains sidelined, he may be a solid DFS play.

The Rockets are signing Mason Jones to a 10-day contract.
The Rockets recently waived Jones, but with Eric Gordon and John Wall banged up again the Rockets could use some extra backcourt depth. In 22 appearances this season, Jones has averaged 5.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.8 triples in 11.1 minutes.

Mason Jones shot 6-of-8 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Saturday’s win over the Mavericks, accounting for 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 19 minutes.
Jones had one of his better games this season against the Mavericks, with the 16 points being the most that he’s scored since January 16 vs. San Antonio (career-high 24). No Victor Oladipo (rest) freed up a few minutes for the rookie, who played just three Friday night. Jones isn’t worth rostering right now, regardless of league format, but he deserves credit for his showing Saturday night.
