Commanders signed Georgia WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint.
Rosemy-Jacksaint (6’1/195) was a four-year player at Georgia whose best season came in 2023 when he totaled 34-535-4. Often overshadowed by highly skilled receivers and tight ends, Rosemy-Jacksaint found little opportunity to make an impact with the Bulldogs. He opted not to run at the NFL Scouting Combine, only to run a 4.81 at Georgia’s Pro Day, and post a RAS of 1.68. Athleticism isn’t everything for a receiver, but Rosemy-Jacksaint certainly comes up on the short end relative to his peers. He’ll need to battle for a spot on a 53-man roster in camp.

Georgia freshman WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint (undisclosed) is warming up ahead of Saturday’s game at Auburn.
Rosemy-Jacksaint (6'2/195) was one of three Bulldog wide receivers who were deemed to be less than 100% earlier this week. But the freshman was considered to be closer to a return to game action than either Arian Smith or Dominick Blaylock, and that’s how things have apparently played out. Rosemy-Jacksaint, who hasn’t played since the Bulldogs’ Week 3 win over South Carolina, has caught three passes for 31 yards this season.

Georgia freshman WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint is listed as a starter ahead of Saturday’s game vs. Clemson.
With George Pickens still recovering from an ACL tear, Georgia will need more from its available wide receivers Saturday night. Rosemy-Jacksaint (6'2/195), whose 2020 season came to a premature end due to a dislocated ankle, is one of those players. Last season, the freshman appeared in six games and caught four passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.

  • FA Wide Receiver #43
Georgia freshman WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint (ankle) has been cleared to return to practice.
Rosemy-Jacksaint (6'2/195) is a blue-chip 2020 recruit who was rated as the eighth best wide receiver and 55th overall prospect in the nation according to 247Sports who bestowed a sky-high .9734 player rating on him. The Fort Lauderdale, FL product ran 39 routes over the course of six games before he reeled in a highlight reel-worthy 32-yard touchdown catch against Florida, but got his foot caught underneath him, breaking his ankle and costing Rosemy-Jacksaint the remainder of the 2020 season. The rangy receiver ended the year by catching four-of-six passes for 62 yards and a touchdown, running 87 percent of his routes on the outside. His return is promising news for the Dawgs, as star WR George Pickens is expected to miss the majority of the 2021 campaign.

  • Dominick Blaylock
    UGa #8
Georgia sophomore WR Dominick Blaylock has been limited to non-contact work in spring practice, according to Seth Emerson of The Athletic.
Blaylock (6'1/195) suffered his second ACL tear last August, sitting out the entire 2020 season as a result. Georgia is taking things slow with the sophomore wide receiver, limiting him to non-contact work to this point in spring practice. With Jermaine Burton have suffered a knee injury earlier this month, the health of players such as Blaylock and Marcus Rosemy-Saint will be of even greater importance heading into the fall. Rosemy-Saint, who suffered a fractured ankle during the Florida loss, is also working off to the side during spring practice. While there is optimism about the progress being made, neither Blaylock nor Rosemy-Saint has a timeline for return.

  • FA Wide Receiver #43
Georgia freshman WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint will miss the remainder of the season after dislocating his ankle against Florida last Saturday.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart’s confirmation was a mere formality, as Rosemy-Jacksaint (6'2/180) suffered a gruesome ankle dislocation on Saturday. The injury occurred when the four-star freshman got his foot caught in the turf while being tackled from behind at the tail end of his first quarter 32-yard touchdown reception. It was immediately obvious that he was in serious pain as his foot was pointing in the opposite direction of where it should be. Rosemy-Jacksaint will likely be facing a long recovery and hopes to be ready to participate when fall camp opens next summer.

Georgia four-star 2020 verbal WR commit Marcus Rosemy plans to sign during the early signing period in December.
While Rosemy (6'2/180), who made his verbal commitment to Georgia in mid-July, will sign his NLI in December, there are no plans for him to be an early enrollee. The four-star wide receiver was on campus last weekend, and the visit did nothing to lower his opinion of Kirby Smart’s program. In fact, Rosemy told Jake Reuse of UGASports.com that he has shut down his recruitment. “I’m done. It just feels like I’m home when I’m at Georgia,” Rosemy told Reuse. “It’s a family atmosphere I really like, and I feel like I’m already part of the team. Everything is solid. It’s the place to be. I gotta be here.”

Rivals’ Mike Farrell passes along that Georgia four-star 2020 verbal WR commit Marcus Rosemy will be in play for a fifth star in the next rankings release.
Rosemy (6'2/180) is pounding on the door for a fifth star following his sensational performance at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge near the end of June. The baby Bulldog came away with position group MVP honors during the annual summer camp. While he may lack for elite speed, he makes up for his lack of scoot via a nice burst off the line and a “my ball, not yours” attitude when going for contested catches. Rivals ranks Rosemy as the No. 53 overall prospect in the 2020 class at this juncture.

Georgia four-star 2020 verbal WR commit Marcus Rosemy was named MVP of his position group at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge.
Now that is the way to do it. Rosemy (6'2/180) committed to Georgia last week, then came out on Tuesday and showed the Bulldogs exactly what they have to look forward to. Rivals analyst Adam Gorney writes that the four-star wideout “caught a bunch of touchdowns during 7-on-7 play” while demonstrating exquisite explosivity and in one-on-one reps. Gorney’s outlet ranks Rosemy as the No. 53 overall prospect in the 2020 class.

Georgia received a verbal commitment from four-star 2020 WR Marcus Rosemy.
Rosemy (6'2/180), an Under Armour All-American who will be a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, FL this fall, picked Kirby Smart’s program over Florida. The four-star wideout, who clocked in at 4.59 seconds in the 40 at The Opening regional camp in February, also held offers from power programs such as Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas A&M and LSU to name a few. 247Sports cited the lack of top-end speed in its scouting report on Rosemy, but offered praise for the way in which he attacks the football in the air and labeled him one of the top wideouts in the 2020 class from a possession standpoint.
