According to Jesse Sanchez, the Padres have agreed to terms with six of the players on MLB.com’s International Top 30 Prospects list.
That list includes the third ranked prospect, Luis Almanzar, who agreed to a $3 million deal. The Padres also added shortstop Gabriel Arias (#5) for $1.9 million, outfielder Jeisson Rosario (#9) for $1.85 million as well as SS Jordy Barley ($1 million), SS Justin Lopez ($1.2 million), OF Tirso Ornelas ($1.5 million), C Alison Quintero ($830,000), RHP Michael Miliano ($450,000), RHP Jose Manuel Guzman ($400,000) and INF Tucupita Marcano ($320,000). It’s quite the day to be a Padres fan, as they added significant depth and high-end talent to their organization.
