Former Eagles RB LeSean McCoy will be inducted into Eagles Hall of Fame.
The team announced McCoy will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on November 3. McCoy ranks first on the all-time team rushing leaderboard with a robust 6,792 yards on the ground during his six-year stint. He later played for the Bills, Chiefs, and Buccaneers, finishing his career with 11,102 yards rushing, 3,898 receiving yards, and 89 combined touchdowns. McCoy will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2025.

    LeSean McCoy announced his retirement.
Philadelphia’s all-time leading rusher with 6,792 yards (and 300 catches for 2,282 yards), McCoy will sign a one-day contract with the Eagles and be honored with Andy Reid present at halftime of Sunday’s contest against the Chiefs. A second-round pick out of Pittsburgh in the 2009 draft, ‘Shady’ rushed for 11,102 yards and 4.5 yards per carry with 518 receptions for 3,898 receiving yards across 12 NFL seasons. He totaled 89 touchdowns, being named to six Pro Bowls with two 1st-team All-Pro nods and back-to-back Super Bowl rings as a backup with the Chiefs and Buccaneers. McCoy walks away at the ripe age of 33.

Impending free agent LeSean McCoy said he plans to play next season.
McCoy wants to sign with a contender or somewhere he can serve as veteran depth. There’s unlikely to be much interest after McCoy looked washed in the 10 games he appeared in last year, but with Super Bowls in back-to-back seasons, some team may be willing to give him a non-guaranteed deal. McCoy turns 32 in July.

LeSean McCoy was held without a touch in the Bucs’ Super Bowl LV win over the Chiefs.
McCoy faded further to irrelevance during his age-32 campaign, handling the ball just 25 times during the regular season before failing to notch a postseason touch. One of the league’s best backs for the better part of a decade, McCoy is simply used up as he heads back to free agency. He had said he would consider retirement if the Bucs won this evening, and that he would like to retire as an Eagle. With step one secured, step two might not be far behind.

LeSean McCoy admits he will consider retirement following Super Bowl LV.
“If I get two championships, with my résumé, it might be over,” McCoy said Tuesday. “But you never know. When I retire, I definitely want to retire an Eagle. That’s always a dream.” McCoy is the kind of player who has earned the right to decide when to hang it up, but the decision is still mostly being made for him. Now 32, McCoy has handled the ball only 154 times over the past two years, with just 25 of those touches coming in 2020. McCoy’s wish to go out as an Eagle could be arranged for this summer.

LeSean McCoy (illness) won’t play in the Wild Card game against Washington.
McCoy himself wasn’t a threat to Ronald Jones’ workload after the former was healthy scratched in the regular season finale, but his absence does entail that both Leonard Fournette and Ke’Shawn Vaughn will be available on Saturday. Fantasy players should still expect Jones to handle the lion’s share of touches after he was removed for rest in Week 17.

Buccaneers declared RB LeSean McCoy, CB Carlton Davis, QB Ryan Griffin, TE Tanner Hudson, and DL Jeremiah Ledbetter inactive for Week 17 against the Falcons.
Davis missed last week with a groin injury and will be out for the Bucs’ regular season finale this week. He leads the team with 18 pass defenses and four interceptions. Expect Calvin Ridley to take advantage of his absence with Julio Jones out as well this week. Ridley looks like a top-three fantasy receiver in Week 17.

Speaking Thursday, OC Byron Leftwich hinted Leonard Fournette would lead the Bucs’ Ronald Jones-less Week 15 backfield against the Falcons.
“He’s been great,” Leftwich said of Fournette, who was a healthy scratch against the Vikings last Sunday. “He’s been here all week putting in work. He’s been working since he got here. It’s great to have a guy like that that you can lean on.” Leftwich was also sure to talk up LeSean McCoy and Ke’Shawn Vaughn, who played over Fournette in Week 14. “We’ve got guys we really depend on, we believe in that they can go out there and get the job done.” Despite Fournette’s recent deactivation, he is the Bucs’ only non-Jones back with the capability to lead a backfield right now. We would slot Fournette in as a mid-range RB3/FLEX for the fantasy semifinals.

Ronald Jones is having a surgical operation on his broken pinky finger.
Jones is having a pin inserted into his broken finger, the same procedure Chris Godwin underwent a few weeks ago. Godwin missed one game, so that seems like a reasonable expectation for Jones. Fresh off handling 19-of-25 backfield touches with Leonard Fournette a healthy scratch against the Vikings, Jones could be replaced by a committee of Fournette and LeSean McCoy in Week 15 against the Falcons. McCoy and Fournette would profile as low-end RB2s or high-end RB3s against Atlanta if Jones is inactive.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports LeSean McCoy suffered an ankle sprain in Week 4 against the Chargers.
McCoy has totaled 13 targets as Tampa Bay’s third-down option but could be eyeing a stint on injured reserve in the coming weeks. With Leonard Fournette and Kenjon Barner also battling injuries, rookie Ke’Shawn Vaughn is expected to play behind Ronald Jones Thursday night. Vaughn is a terrific stash in deeper leagues since his role on passing downs in place of McCoy offers more upside than Fournette’s handful of carries behind Jones every week.
