LeGarrette Blount retired from the NFL after nine seasons.
Blount hadn’t appeared in a game since 2018. He played for five different teams, with four of his nine seasons coming in New England. Blount closes out his career with 6,306 rushing yards, 56 touchdowns, and a 4.2 YPC. He led the league in scoring in 2016. Blount is a three-time Super Bowl winner, winning two with the Patriots and one with the Eagles in 2017.

Raiders hosted free agent RB LeGarrette Blount on Wednesday.
It’s the first known visit for Blount since he rushed for 154/418/5 with the Lions last year. The Raiders also worked out plodder Bo Scarborough.

The Lions aren’t expected to re-sign free agent LeGarrette Blount.
This isn’t a surprise with Blount coming off a career low 2.7 YPC. Blount looked washed in 2018 and isn’t needed behind Kerryon Johnson. He could be forced into retirement this offseason.

LeGarrette Blount rushed 11 times for 15 yards in the Lions’ Week 17 win over the Packers.
Pointlessly given the start, Blount brick-walled against the Packers’ injury-ruined defensive line. The 32-year-old closes the book on 2018 having averaged 2.71 yards on his 154 carries. Truly dreadful. Unless coach Matt Patricia is willing to extend his sinecure through 2019, Blount could be at the end of the line.

LeGarrette Blount (knee) is questionable for Week 17 against the Packers.
Blount was only a limited participant at practice this week, though that should be enough for him to get the green light Sunday at Green Bay. The 32-year-old has averaged a league-worst 2.8 yards per carry this season.

LeGarrette Blount (knee) was limited at Wedneday’s practice.
This is a new injury for Blount, who had been dealing with a calf issue. The Lions don’t have anything to play for in Week 17, so it’s possible they hold out Blount at less than 100 percent. Zach Zenner and Theo Riddick would see more snaps if Blount sits.

LeGarrette Blount rushed 11 times for 29 yards Week 16 against the Vikings.
Blount started over Zach Zenner and led Detroit in carries, but got next to nothing on the ground. He’s been a total non-factor the last three weeks, totaling just 71 yards. The Lions close out their season against the Packers in Week 17.

LeGarrette Blount (calf) is active for Week 16 against the Vikings.
Blount was a late addition to the injury report, but his calf injury won’t keep him out. His snaps figure to be further limited in a timeshare with Zach Zenner and Theo Riddick.

LeGarrette Blount (calf) is questionable for Week 16 against the Vikings.
Blount popped up on the injury report yesterday with a calf issue, though he was able to get in a limited session on Friday. We’re guessing Blount will be active for Sunday’s game, though he’ll just be in a timeshare with Zach Zenner and Theo Riddick. Blount’s days of being a relevant fantasy contributor are long over.

LeGarrette Blount (calf) was limited at Thursday’s practice.
It’s a downgrade for Blount, who did not appear on Wednesday’s injury report. Even if Blount suits up against Minnesota, he should be avoided for fantasy purposes. The 32-year-old grinder ranks dead-last out of 52 qualifiers in yards per carry (2.8) this season.
