Kyle Guy is expected to sign a contract with Joventut (Badalona, Spain), according to Gerard Solé of DAZN Spain.
A few weeks removed from taking part in a free agent workout for the Lakers, the former second-round pick is close to agreeing to a deal overseas. Guy spent part of last season with the Heat, agreeing to two 10-day contracts before signing a two-way deal in mid-January. Joventut competes in Spain’s top professional league, and the club will also participate in the EuroLiga this season. The EuroLiga is the second-best continental competition in Europe, behind the EuroLeague.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #11
Langston Galloway was among the players who worked out for the Lakers during a free-agent workout on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
The Lakers could have as many as seven roster spots to fill this summer, and due to the team’s cap situation, there isn’t a lot of money available to do so. Hence the need to leave no stone unturned with regard to possibly signing veterans on team-friendly deals. In addition to Galloway, Kyle Guy, Alize Johnson, Louis King, and D.J. Wilson were among the players who were reported to be present at the workout.

  • PHI Small Forward #16
Caleb Martin (left Achilles soreness) is not expected to play in Thursday’s game against the Wizards.
The Achilles has been nagging Martin for the better part of a week, but he has been able to play in each of Miami’s last two games. He won’t be available Thursday night, however, and his absence stands to free up a few more minutes for two-way contract recipient Kyle Guy. Guy isn’t worth rostering, as the majority of the minutes that normally go to Martin should be absorbed by more established players.

  • PHI Small Forward #16
Caleb Martin (left Achilles soreness) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Wizards.
Martin has been dealing with the Achilles issue for a few games now, but he did log 24 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Hornets. If he sits Monday night, Martin’s absence would free up a few rotation minutes for Kyle Guy. However, Guy would not be a relevant fantasy player.

  • CLE Small Forward #1
Max Strus (right quad contusion) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Hornets.
With Strus out of the lineup, Tyler Herro has an opportunity to take more shots, and Kyle Guy and Gabe Vincent should play more minutes.

  • CLE Small Forward #1
Max Strus (right quad contusion) is listed as questionable for Saturday’s matchup with the Hornets.
Strus has been a great streaming/DFS option when Miami needs him to start, but he hasn’t provided much in fantasy aside from points and 3-pointers for most of the season. If he misses this game, Kyle Guy and Gabe Vincent should split his time off the bench. It also means even more shots for Tyler Herro.

  • FA Shooting Guard #5
Kyle Guy is signing a two-way contract with Miami, according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.
Guy has been solid for the Heat in his brief stints with the team. In six games played, he has averaged 8.2 points per game with 2.3 assists, and 1.3 rebounds n 17.2 minutes. He will now get the opportunity to be with the organization of the remainder of the season, going between the G-League and the Heat. He is still not on the fantasy radar just yet.

  • FA Shooting Guard #5
The Miami Heat are planning to sign Kyle Guy to a second 10-day contract, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
In five games, Guy has averaged 9.8 points per game on 51.4% shooting from the floor (45.0% 3-pointers) with 1.8 triples, 2.6 assists and 1.6 rebounds per game. Deep league managers should have him on the radar for a streamer for this week, but other than that, there is no rush to pick him up.

  • FA Shooting Guard #5
Kyle Guy hit 5-of-11 field goals and 4-of-8 triples for 14 points and added two rebounds and an assist in Monday’s 115-108 loss to the Warriors.
Guy scored in double-figures for the second time in three games as he continues to make the most of his 10-day deal with Miami. The former NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player hasn’t been able to stick in three NBA seasons, so while games like this are wonderful for deep-leaguers in need of a streaming target, Guy’s long-term value is nearly nonexistent.

  • FA Shooting Guard #5
Kyle Guy played 24 minutes off the bench in his Miami debut on Friday vs. Houston and impressed with 17 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals and four triples.
Miami is missing the bulk of their roster due to the protocols and a few injuries, so they gave minutes to four players from the G League tonight with Guy impressing the most. Fantasy managers obviously shouldn’t rush to the wire to grab him, but deep-league managers can now put him on their radar for the upcoming back-to-back.
