Broncos declared S P.J. Locke (thumb), QB Zack Wilson, CB Kris Abrams-Draine, T Alex Palczewski, TE Greg Dulcich, LB Dondrea Tillman and DL Eyioma Uwazurike inactive for Week 8 against the Panthers.
Locke was considered doubtful for the bout against the Panthers, and will unsurprisingly miss the contest. Wilson will operate as the emergency third quarterback.
  • DEN Quarterback #4
Broncos declared QB Zach Wilson, WR Troy Franklin, RB Blake Watson, CB Kris Abrams-Draine, T Frank Crum, TE Lucas Krull and DL Eyioma Uwazurike inactive for Week 1 against the Seahawks.
Wilson will be the emergency third quarterback against the Seahawks on Sunday behind Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham. Franklin was a fourth-round pick who struggled early in camp, and will need to pick things up in practice to not earn the inactive designation going forward.
  • DEN Cornerback
Broncos selected Missouri CB Kris Abrams-Draine with the No. 145 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
In high school Abrams-Draine (5’113/179) started as a freshman on the varsity basketball team and played QB and WR in addition to cornerback on the gridiron. A three-star prospect, the Mobile, AL product was one of the first signings for new HC Eli Drinkwitz and spent his first offseason at wide receiver before switching sides a few games into his pandemic-shortened freshman year. While the lockdown Missouri cornerback ran a strong 4.44s 40-yard dash, his 4.41s shuttle and 7.15s three-cone were very disappointing. A feisty, highly-productive outside corner with oily hips and an aggressive demeanor, Abrams-Draine has proved himself as a formidable adversary who allowed a 47-percent catch rate in the hyper-competitive SEC. Less than ideal size is going to be a detriment, but he could be a key defensive cog at the NFL level if he can become proficient in a slot role.

Missouri received a verbal commitment from three-star 2020 WR Kris Abrams-Draine.
Abrams-Draine (6'0/167) has given his pledge to a few different programs. He had originally committed to LSU, but he backed off that pledge when he committed to Ole Miss. He didn’t sign with the program in December, however, and now he appears to be heading to Columbia. He’s ranked the 74th best wideout in the class in the 247Sports composite rankings.

Ole Miss received a verbal commitment from four-star 2020 WR Kris Abrams-Draine.
Abrams-Draine (6'0/167) opted in with the Rebs over fellow finalists Tennessee and West Virginia. Per 247Sports, he had been silently committed to Ole Miss for a time before his public announcement. The Spanish Fort, Alabama, native had been pledged to LSU for a year prior to backing off the Tigers in early March. While Abrams-Draine played multiple positions during his junior season of high school in 2018, suiting up at wide receiver, defensive back and quarterback, he will play wideout in college. On the 247Sports composite board, Abrams-Draine ranks as the No. 348 overall prospect in the 2020 class.
  • DEN Cornerback #31
Four-star 2020 WR Kris Abrams-Draine decommitted from LSU.
Abrams-Draine made the announcement on Twitter. The writing on the wall here was when the wideout posted a top 10 school list but announced he was still committed to LSU. Arkansas, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Oregon, Tennessee, Kansas, Florida, Indiana and Ole Miss are the other schools on that list, along with LSU. He recently visited Tennessee, so they should certainly be considered among the top schools on Abrams-Draine’s list.
