Bills placed rookie WR Kolby Listenbee on the reserve/NFI list.
He’s eligible to return in Week 7. Listenbee underwent double sports hernia surgery and his recovery has been slowed by “pelvic inflammation.” A burner with 4.39 wheels, Listenbee played college football for the TCU Horned Frogs.
  • FA Wide Receiver #14
Bills rookie WR Kolby Listenbee (groin) has been shut down for the season.
Listenbee was slow to recover from double hernia surgery and is now shifting his focus to 2017. The sixth-round rookie out of TCU ran a 4.39 forty at the NFL Combine.
  • FA Wide Receiver #14
Bills sophomore WR Kolby Listenbee (groin) is not participating in the rookie minicamp.
Listenbee is on the roster for the event and was spotted on the field, but he does not have a helmet, suggesting he has yet to be cleared from December surgery to address complications from the double hernia surgery he underwent last March. Listenbee expects to be ready for training camp, but his health cannot be taken for granted after he was forced to sit out his entire rookie season.
  • FA Wide Receiver #14
Bills waived WR Kolby Listenbee with a non-football injury designation.
WR Rashad Ross was signed in a corresponding move. A sixth-round pick last year, Listenbee missed his entire rookie season due to complications from double hernia surgery and has yet to be cleared to return to practice. He will revert to the non-football injury list if he clears waivers, but the Bills could release him with an injury settlement. Looking likely to miss two full seasons to “start” his career, Listenbee’s long-term prospects are faint.
  • FA Wide Receiver #14
Bills released WR Kolby Listenbee with an injury settlement.
Listenbee was the Bills’ 2016 sixth-round pick out of TCU.
  • FA Wide Receiver #14
Bills signed sixth-round WR Kolby Listenbee to a four-year contract.
Standing in at 6-foot-0, 197 pounds, Listenbee is a pure deep threat with 4.39 wheels. Listenbee will try to claim the lid-lifting role that has eluded Marquise Goodwin in Buffalo, but the practice squad is a rookie possibility.
  • FA Wide Receiver #14
TCU WR Kolby Listenbee blazed an official forty time of 4.39 at the NFL Combine.
Listenbee is still rehabbing from a late-season hip injury, making the forty time all the more impressive. A 6-foot, 197-pound speedster, Listenbee’s forty was second fastest among wide receivers at this year’s Combine, behind only Will Fuller (4.32). Listenbee is expected to be a top-100 draft pick.
  • FA Wide Receiver #14
    Colts waived/injured WR Kolby Listenbee.
Listenbee will revert to injured reserve when he clears waivers. The 2016 sixth-round pick has yet to appear in an NFL game.
  • FA Wide Receiver #14
Bills selected TCU WR Kolby Listenbee with the No. 192 overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft.
Listenbee (6'0/197) bookended alpha receiver Josh Doctson as the Horned Frogs’ deep threat, parlaying 74 career catches into 1,432 yards (19.4 YPR) and nine TDs. His explosive athleticism showed up in Indy, blazing 4.39 with a 10-foot-9 broad jump. Listenbee is lanky with small hands (8 1/4") and a one-trick skill set, but his ability to outrun coverage will earn him long looks from NFL coaches. Initially, Listenbee should contribute on special teams after shining as a college gunner. Listenbee had surgery to repair a double sports hernia in March, but he should be ready for training camp.
