Raiders MLB Rolando McClain (questionable, foot) is expected to be a game-time decision for Week 15.
The rookie linebacker has not practiced for the past two weeks and it’s not a stretch to think he’ll be ineffective even if he does dress. Knowshon Moreno owners should be licking their chops.
  • FA Running Back #28
Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) was held out of Broncos practice Wednesday, and coach John Fox called him “day to day.”
Fox doesn’t get wins, and he doesn’t give injury updates either. “We’re day to day,” Fox said about Moreno, Champ Bailey (hamstring), Elvis Dumervil (shoulder), and Brandon Lloyd (groin). "... When they’re cleared medically they’ll practice.” Moreno won’t be a fantasy option in Week 2 after his third hamstring injury over the past two seasons. The Broncos play the Bengals Sunday.
  • FA Running Back #28
Knowshon Moreno limped off the field in the fourth quarter of Monday’s Week 1 game against the Raiders.
Uh-oh. Moreno came off on his own power, but was clearly in pain. We’ll bring you an update on his status when we find out more.
  • FA Running Back #28
Knowshon Moreno carried the ball just eight times for 22 yards and added two receptions for 35 yards in Week 1 against Denver.
Moreno also had a lost fumble. The third-year back looked shifty as a receiver, but was never able to get into a rhythm on the ground. He limped off the field late in the fourth quarter and appeared to be in a great deal of pain. It’s not the kind of start owners were hoping for.
  • FA Wide Receiver #84
Brandon Lloyd (groin) and Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) will both have MRIs Tuesday after coming up lame late in Monday’s loss to the Raiders.
Lloyd appeared to pull his groin sometime in the second half and played sparingly in the fourth quarter. Although he brushed off any injury after the game, coach John Fox included his No. 1 receiver on his injury list. Lloyd had six catches for 89 yards before leaving, racking up a team-high 11 targets.
  • FA Running Back #28
Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) will have an MRI on Tuesday.
Moreno appeared to pull his hamstring on a nine-yard run early in the fourth quarter. He immediately went to the sideline and pounded his fist into the turf in frustration. Moreno did do some light jogging on the sideline, but never went back into the game. Owners should be adding Willis McGahee.
  • FA Running Back #26
The Denver Post suspects the Broncos will go with Willis McGahee as the lead back even when Knowshon Moreno returns from his hamstring injury.
The Post’s Mike Klis cites coach John Fox’s philosophy of going with the hot hand, which is McGahee coming off a 100-yard game. For fantasy purposes, it’s almost a non-issue. Both runners will play in Fox’s two-back system, leaving them well short of RB2 consideration. A healthy Moreno is the better talent at this point.
  • FA Running Back #28
Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) isn’t expected to be at full speed this week, according to the Denver Post.
Moreno was unable to practice at all last week and Willis McGahee slugged the Broncos to a win over the Bengals on Sunday. Even if Moreno does return against the Titans, McGahee may remain the lead dog in this committee. We’ll know more after seeing how the two are used in practice later this week.
  • FA Running Back #26
Coach John Fox says Willis McGahee will get the bulk of the Broncos’ carries in Week 3 against the Titans.
Knowshon Moreno (hamstring) is still questionable, but either way it sounds like McGahee will be getting more touches. This news makes McGahee a viable flex option, but Moreno would have to be deactivated or clearly limited before we could sanction McGahee as a desperation RB2 play.
  • FA Running Back #28
Knowshon Moreno and Brandon Lloyd are both active for Sunday’s game against the Titans.
Moreno may be limited after failing to go through a full week of practice; coach John Fox has declared Willis McGahee the lead back in the committee. Lloyd is closer to 100 percent after a last-minute scratch in Week 3. The Broncos’ inactives are CB Champ Bailey, DE Elvis Dumervil, WR Demaryius Thomas, TE Julius Thomas, DT Marcus Thomas, WR Eddie Royal, and OL Tony Hills.
