  • FA Defensive Back #25
Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes injured his left foot in Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.
Rhodes said news on his foot was “not good.” The X-rays obviously showed something, likely a break. He will be examined further on Monday.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes has been diagnosed with a broken left foot, and will be out a “number of weeks.”
The Cards’ best defensive back in terms of coverage, Rhodes’ loss is the latest blow to a secondary that’s gotten shredded by every competent passing attack it’s faced. Arizona is on a Week 6 bye, but Rhodes can’t be expected to return in Week 7. Rashad Johnson should get the first crack at free safety. Continue to confidently target this pass defense in fantasy matchups.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes is scheduled for foot surgery Thursday and will be out at least one month.
Rhodes suffered a broken left foot in last week’s loss to the Vikings. The Cardinals’ best cover man will miss at least three games, turning this secondary into perhaps the worst in the league. (It arguably was already.) Look for Rashad Johnson to get the nod at free safety going forward.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes was forced from Sunday’s game with a left ankle injury.
Rhodes stayed down for a minute and had to be helped off the field after breaking up a pass. The injury appears to be to the same foot that Rhodes had surgically repaired in October. Rhodes returned to the game on the next series.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
According to the Arizona Republic, Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes (foot surgery) is likely “a ways from returning.”
Rhodes is still in a cast and on crutches, and could miss Arizona’s entire upcoming three-game road swing. Richard Marshall and Rashad Johnson have filled in at free safety during his absence.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes (foot) has resumed practicing on a limited basis.
Rhodes may not be quite ready for Week 14, but it appears he’ll return before the season is through. Arizona’s best defensive back in coverage, Rhodes required surgery after fracturing his left foot in early October.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes left Sunday’s game against the Bills with a back injury and is questionable to return.
Rhodes entered the game with 19 tackles, four passes defensed, and one interception on the season. He had been abused by C.J. Spiller in the run game on a couple of occasions on Sunday. Rashad Johnson stepped in on defense, as Rhodes was carted to the locker room.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes (back) missed practice on Wednesday.
Rhodes was injured late in Arizona’s Week 6 loss to the Bills. He tried to return after sustaining the injury but was forced out after playing another defensive snap. Rashad Johnson came in to replace Rhodes in the base defense.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes (back) is listed as questionable for Monday night against the 49ers.
Rhodes was a limited participant in practice all week. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt thinks there’s a “good shot” that Rhodes plays, though, after he was forced to miss Week 7. His return would be good news for the Arizona pass defense.
  • FA Defensive Back #25
Cardinals FS Kerry Rhodes (back) has been ruled out for Week 7.
Arizona’s pass defense fell to pieces with Rhodes out of the lineup last season. Defensive coordinator Ray Horton has his unit playing better this year, but Rhodes’ loss is likely to be felt in coverage of the deep middle.
