Vikings selected Missouri ILB Kentrell Brothers with the No. 160 overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft.
Brothers (6'0/245) led the nation in tackles (152) and earned first-team All-SEC as a senior middle linebacker at Mizzou, where he was a three-year starter. Brothers had a miserable Combine before turning in a respectable Pro Day, where he ran 4.82 with a 31 1/2-inch vertical and 19 bench-press reps. Although Brothers isn’t a special athlete, he did flash special instincts on college tape, was a highly efficient tackler and didn’t embarrass himself in coverage. There is a hint of Danny Trevathan to Brothers’ game. He could be coached up by Mike Zimmer.
