Kennedy Chandler posted a full line on Thursday with 15 points (6-for-22 FGs), eight rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block against Toronto.
Chandler had a horrific shooting performance, but he was still able to contribute a full line. He’s had a solid summer after spending most of his rookie season with the Memphis Hustle. He has a chance to make Brooklyn’s roster, though he’ll still likely spend more time in the G-League than in Brooklyn next season.

Kennedy Chandler posted a full line on Tuesday with 17 points (4-for-7 FGs), four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer against Milwaukee.
Chandler spent the majority of his rookie season playing for the Memphis Hustle, but now he finds himself with a chance to make Brooklyn’s roster after being waived by the Grizzlies. He has been solid for the Nets so far this summer, but he had his best game in Vegas on Tuesday. Even if Chandler is able to secure a contract with the Nets, he’ll likely play the majority of his games in Long Island next season with their G-League affiliate.

Kennedy Chandler accounted for 16 points (7-of-16 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 29 minutes in Friday’s 101-97 loss to Cleveland.
Waived by the Grizzlies on the penultimate day of the regular season, Chandler is looking to catch on with another NBA team. He started Friday’s game for the Nets and was solid, shooting 50% from two and finishing as one of six Nets in double figures. Fellow starter Armoni Brooks finds himself in a similar situation, and he finished the loss with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and five 3-pointers in 30 minutes. Neither Brooks nor Chandler should be considered a fantasy asset, as both have work to do to earn a roster spot for next season.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Grizzlies are waiving Kennedy Chandler.
Drafted with the 38th overall pick in last summer’s draft, Chandler was signed to a four-year deal in July with the first three seasons guaranteed. The decision to waive Chandler was made due to Memphis’ need to free up a roster spot for Kenneth Lofton Jr., whose contract is being changed from a two-way to a standard deal. The Grizzlies need another frontcourt body, with Steven Adams (knee) unlikely to play again this season, hence the Lofton and Chandler transactions.

  • MEM Power Forward #13
Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 36 points (12-for-18 FGs), four rebounds, two assists, one steal, three blocks and five 3-pointers in a 137-114 win over Milwaukee.
Despite having the 2-seed in the West locked up, the Grizzlies played their normal guys against Milwaukee’s backups. That led to a blowout win, and seven different players scoring in double figures. JJJ set his season-high for scoring in their last game with 40 points and kept up the dominant scoring in this game. He has now scored at least 30 in three of their last four games. Memphis will likely rest the majority of their rotation against the Thunder on Sunday, which should allow their young guys to play big minutes. David Roddy, Kenneth Lofton Jr. and Kennedy Chandler should all be candidates for big games.

  • PHX Point Guard #21
Tyus Jones (left foot soreness) is doubtful to play against the Clippers on Wednesday.
Jones is listed as doubtful on the second night of a back-to-back, but with Ja Morant back for this game, Jones wasn’t going to start again either way. Kennedy Chandler may see a few minutes as the backup point guard, but it likely won’t be enough for him to be worth rostering.

  • BKN Point Guard #1
Kennedy Chandler (non-COVID illness) has been downgraded to out for Tuesday’s game against the Lakers.
Chandler’s absence won’t significantly impact fantasy basketball, even with Ja Morant away from the team. Tyus Jones will log heavy minutes as the starter, while Desmond Bane and Luke Kennard will have chances to run the show whenever Jones needs a rest.

  • BKN Point Guard #1
Kennedy Chandler is questionable for Tuesday’s matchup with the Lakers due to a non-COVID illness.
Even if he’s cleared to play, Chandler is highly unlikely to make any noise for managers. His availability doesn’t impact fantasy hoops.

  • BKN Point Guard #1
Kennedy Chandler (nasal fracture) is available for Sunday’s game against the Warriors.
Chandler will be available to play, but he’s unlikely to get the minutes needed to be relevant in fantasy basketball. Leave him on the waiver wire.

  • BKN Point Guard #1
Kennedy Chandler (nasal fracture) is available for Friday’s game against the Suns.
Chandler has been cleared to play, but this won’t impact fantasy basketball. Point guards Ja Morant and Tyus Jones are healthy, and Desmond Bane has been cleared to return. Chandler’s best shot at minutes Friday night would be for the game to turn into a blowout.
