Keljin Blevins (non-COVID illness) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jazz.
Blevins has seen an increase in playing time since the Blazers went into full-on tank mode but has not been able to do enough to merit consideration in any fantasy league. Even if he’s cleared to play, leave Blevins on the waiver wire.

  • BKN Power Forward #9
An MRI revealed a bone contusion to Trendon Watford’s left femur and he will be re-evaluated in one week.
In one week from now, the Trail Blazers will only have four games remaining on their schedule, and it seems unlikely that Watford will be fully recovered from a bone bruise in a week’s time, so he’s likely done for the year. Greg Brown III might be able to earn some starts over these final eight games for Portland, and there will be more opportunity for guys like Ben McLemore, Elijah Hughes and Keljin Blevins. All those guys are worth a dice roll, but we’ll have a better idea on who the true primary beneficiary is after Monday’s game vs. OKC.

  • POR Shooting Guard #1
Anfernee Simons had an MRI on Thursday that confirmed he was dealing with mild patellar tendinopathy in his left knee and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, per the team.
Simons was in the midst of a career year with averages of 17.3 points and 3.1 triples per game and was cruising along with Damian Lillard’s (abdomen) extensive absence. With Simons out for at least a couple weeks and possibly not suiting up again for the 2021-2022 season, the Blazers are in full tank mode and will turn to guys like Brandon Williams and Keljin Blevins to run some point, with the former being worth a pick up in most leagues with the upside he’s flashed lately. If you roster Simons and are fighting to stay alive in the fantasy playoffs, it’s probably time to say goodbye to one of this season’s candidates for pick-up of the year.

  • MIL Power Forward #12
Justise Winslow (Achilles) will remain on the sidelines for Monday’s matchup with Minnesota.
This will be the fourth straight game on the inactive list for Winslow, and with Portland going nowhere fast, it’s unclear when we’ll see him again. If you’re fantasy playoffs begin next week, or have already begun, it’s tough to keep holding Winslow if you don’t have an IL+ spot available. Keljin Blevins will likely get another start tomorrow night, but he’s not standard league material.

  • Power Forward #13
Greg Brown (illness) is being listed as probable for Monday’s game in Minnesota.
Brown sat out Saturday’s game with a minor illness, but it looks like he’ll be back in action for tomorrow’s rematch with the Timberwolves, which will result in fewer minutes for Brandon Williams and Keljin Blevins. Brown isn’t much more than a low-end stocks specialist in deep leagues, though.

  • NBA Point Guard #21
Keljin Blevins played 24 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves, going scoreless (0-of-3 FGs) with two rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
Blevins was in the starting lineup due to Portland having just eight available players, and he didn’t offer much to the few who may have streamed him. He went scoreless on the night but did manage to dish out a team-high five assists (tied with Keon Johnson). There’s no need to even consider streaming him ahead of Monday’s rematch with the Timberwolves.

The Portland Trail Blazers will start Anfernee Simons, Keon Johnson, CJ Elleby, Drew Eubanks and Keljin Blevins in Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Talk about a tank. The Blazers have just eight guys active tonight, and Blevins becomes the 18th different Portland player to start a game this season to set a franchise record. It’s really hard to tell what’s going to happen in terms of the stat sheet, but don’t be surprised if one of these guys goes nuts for a game and then disappears a game later. Anfernee Simons could take a ton of shots as the clear-cut best player on his team on a very thin roster.

  • NBA Point Guard #21
Keljin Blevins and Trendon Watford have cleared protocols ahead of Monday’s game against the Hawks.
Blevins and Watford will be available for Monday’s game, but neither is worth rostering in any league. Leave them on the wire.

  • NBA Point Guard #21
Blazers swingman Keljin Blevins has been added to the league’s health and safety protocols.
Blevins has played a total of 14 minutes in three appearances this season, so his absence won’t be noticed in fantasy leagues.

  • NBA Point Guard #21
The Blazers have signed Keljin Blevins to a two-way contract from the 2021-22 season.
Blevins was on a two-way deal with Portland last season as well. He spent most of the year in the G League, but appeared in 17 games for the Trail Blazers in 2020-21, posting averages of 0.7 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists.
