Kelan Martin was waived by the Pelicans on Saturday.
Martin originally signed a training camp deal, which allows the Pelicans to keep him around the organization with their G-League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron. This won’t alter any fantasy leagues.

  • CHA Small Forward #2
Grant Williams is dealing with a non-COVID illness and is being listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Pistons.
Williams generally only makes some noise when either Robert Williams or Al Horford are sidelined, and with both bigs active, that trend should stick even if he can play. If he can’t, maybe Kelan Martin plays a few extra minutes, but he’s miles from the fantasy radar.

  • NBA Small Forward #18
Kelan Martin and Malik Fitts are both expected to sign their second ten-day contracts with the Boston Celtics.
They each played three whole minutes in garbage time in their first ten-day stint, but that was it. Nothing to see here for fantasy purposes.

  • NBA Small Forward #31
Kelan Martin will join the Boston Celtics on a 10-day contract Tuesday.
Martin has played in 27 games this season and will join Malik Fitts in attempting to make one of the three open roster spots in Boston.

  • NBA Small Forward #31
The Pacers have waived Kelan Martin, the team announced.
Martin was just one day away from his contract for the 2021-22 season becoming fully guaranteed. With the Pacers freeing up a roster spot, all eyes turn to Lance Stephenson, who recently signed a 10-day contract. In the first home game of his third stint with the franchise, Stephenson exploded for 30 points (including a franchise-record 20 in the first quarter) in Wednesday’s loss to the Nets.

  • NBA Small Forward #31
Kelan Martin (health and safety protocols) is listed as out against the Bulls on Friday, per Michael Preston.
Martin is the fifth Pacer in league protocols. Martin played 20 minutes on Wednesday, hitting three 3-pointers, but hasn’t provided much fantasy relevance this season.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #26
Jeremy Lamb (sore right wrist) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
One game removed from a 16-point effort in a win over the Rockets, Lamb will be on the sideline due to a sore wrist. As a result, look for Torrey Craig and Kelan Martin to see an increase in playing time, but neither is worth streaming.

  • CHI Small Forward #13
Torrey Craig (illness) saw 12 minutes off the bench on Thursday, finishing with five points, two rebounds, one 3-pointer and one turnover in a win over Detroit.
Craig returned from a two-game stint on the sidelines, and with him back in the rotation, Kelan Martin picked up a DNP-CD. Neither of these guys are worth your attention in fantasy hoops.

  • NBA Small Forward #31
Kelan Martin contributed seven points, two rebounds, one steal and two turnovers in 15 minutes off the bench during Sunday’s blowout loss to the Bucks.
Martin scored a season-high 15 points on 13 shots his last time out, but he was scoreless through the first half of today’s game and saw his minutes return to the teens. He’s not a consistent enough part of the rotation to be worth your attention in fantasy hoops.

  • CHI Shooting Guard #27
Chris Duarte (shoulder) will play on Friday vs. the Hornets.
Duarte will be back in action tonight following a two-game absence, which will likely shift Kelan Martin back to the second unit and Justin Holiday could lose some minutes. Go ahead and get Duarte active.
