NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports Colts ILB Kavell Conner is on the trade block.
A starter most of the past three seasons, Conner tallied 54 tackles in 2012, but played just 326 snaps. He’s an early-down thumper. It’s an indication the Colts want to start Pat Angerer opposite Jerrell Freeman.

    Ravens signed ILB Kavell Conner.
Conner was released from San Diego in March after playing just 187 snaps last year. He has starting experience and will add competition behind Zachary Orr and Arthur Brown. Second-round LB Kamalei Correa is also a candidate for snaps opposite C.J. Mosley.
  • FA Linebacker #44
Chargers signed ILB Kavell Conner to a three-year contract.
Conner leaves Colts head coach Chuck Pagano to play for his brother, Chargers defensive coordinator John Pagano. He’ll step in as a backup behind Donald Butler and Manti Te’o, providing some early-down run-stopping depth.

Free agent ILB Kavell Conner will visit the Chargers on Wednesday, and is expected to sign.
The Indy-to-San Diego pipeline continues. Conner entered 2013 on the trade block, and ended up playing only 115 snaps. Conner was mostly ineffective as a starter from 2010-12. He’d be a two-down, run-stopping specialist for the Bolts.
  • FA Linebacker #44
    Chargers released ILB Kavell Conner.
LB Chi Chi Ariguzo has also been cut loose. Conner’s release creates $950,000 in cap space. Conner has made 10 starts over the past two years, but was limited to 187 snaps on defense in 2015.
  • FA Linebacker #44
Chargers ILB Kavell Conner is expected to start with Manti Te’o (foot) sidelined.
Te’o is expected to miss multiple weeks with a fractured foot. Conner is a thumping, run-stopper that struggles in pass coverage. He has started 36 games in his five-year career, and recorded 104 tackles as a 15-game starter for the Colts in 2011.
  • FA Linebacker #55
Colts WLB Clint Session (elbow) is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Titans.
Session will rest up in the hopes his team can clinch a playoff berth without him. Kavell Connor will start on the weak side against the Titans today. It’s a big downgrade for the Colts.
  • FA Linebacker #44
Colts president Bill Polian believes that 2010 seventh-round pick Kavell Conner can be “the next David Thornton.”
Thornton was a versatile linebacker for the Colts early in his career, coming up as a fourth-round pick and earning a starting job by his second season. Conner, 24, collected nine starts in his rookie campaign. He’s in line to compete for a starting position on the strong side during the 2011 offseason.
  • FA Linebacker #55
Colts LB Clint Session (hamstring) is listed as out for Week 3 against the Broncos, as he did not make the team’s trip to Denver.
Seventh-round rookie Kavell Conner will replace Session at right outside linebacker. Coming off a 102-tackle season in 2009, Session’s experience will be missed by the Colts, as well as by his IDP owners.
  • FA Linebacker #44
Colts LB Kavell Conner underwent surgery Tuesday to repair the fractured bone in his left foot.
The Colts are only saying that he’s out this week, but it’s certainly a multi-week procedure. Cody Glenn will start at weak-side linebacker against the Jags this Sunday if starter Clint Session (hamstring) isn’t ready to return.
