The Hornets have signed Kentucky small forward Kahlil Whitney and Duke power forward Javin DeLaurier to Exhibit 10 contracts.
Both will have the opportunity to join the Hornets in training camp. Per the rules, any player on an Exhibit 10 contract who is waived and then goes on to spend 60 days with the team’s G-League affiliate would receive a $50,000 guarantee. Whitney played just 18 games at Kentucky before leaving the program in late-January, posting averages of 3.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.2 blocks per. As for DeLaurier, he played four seasons at Duke and finished his career with averages of 3.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.9 blocks per game (114 appearances).
