Ball State senior WR Justin Hall (undisclosed) is not playing against Central Michigan Wednesday night.
Hall (5'9/181) will miss BSU’s big game against Central Michigan Wednesday night, with their offense taking a big hit as a result. Their star playmaker has been used in multiple different roles, catching 59 passes for 599 yards and five touchdowns receiving in addition to 37 carries that he has parlayed into 255 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. Yo’Heinz Tyler and Jayshon Jackson are expected to pick up the slack in his absence.

  • FA Wide Receiver #49
Ball State senior WR Justin Hall rushed seven times for 79 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-29 loss to Northern Illinois this Wednesday.
Hall (5'9/181) took on a different role in Ball State’s potent offensive attack, receiving more carries than he had receptions. He was also very productive in gold zone situations, taking a jet sweep off the right side for a seven yard first quarter touchdown before rushing off the left tackle for another two-yard score. He had an important drop and was missed a couple of times by an uncharacteristically inaccurate Drew Plitt, but Hall’s impact was felt nonetheless as he also chipped in with three catches for 27 yards. The dynamic all-purpose weapon will look to score his 12th touchdown of the season next Wednesday against Central Michigan.

  • FA Wide Receiver #49
Ball State fifth year senior WR Justin Hall caught three passes for 49 yards and a touchdown, and also carries the ball twice for 14 yards and a touchdown in Ball State’s 45-20 win over WMU.
Hall (5'9"/181) really showed off his speed in this game, using it to score twice against WMU. His touchdown catch was a perfectly floated ball by QB Drew Plitt, thrown with full trust as Hall needed to accelerate past his man as the ball was in the air to snag what ended up being an easy score. His rushing touchdown was on an end-around where he just beat everyone to the edge. Hall has been a playmaker all year on the ground and through the air, and he’ll hope to do more of the same against Eastern Michigan next Saturday.

  • FA Wide Receiver #49
Ball State senior WR Justin Hall is not playing in the Arizona Bowl against San Jose State.
Hall (5'9/181) was a late inactive, as he was not in the starting lineup when the teams lined up. It’s a costly absence for the Cardinals as Hall led the team in receiving with 49 receptions for 665 yards and four touchdowns. Yo’Heinz Tyler and Antwan Davis will need to step up with the senior slot receiver out.

  • FA Wide Receiver #49
Ball State senior WR Justin Hall registered 10 receptions for a game-high 175 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s 30-27 win over Western Michigan.
Hall (5'9/181) pulled down a 32-yard touchdown late in the second quarter to tie the game at 13, and he had a 55-yard score early in the fourth, which also tied the score in a seesaw affair which eventually went the way of the MAC West champs. He had at least four receptions in each of his six games this season, and seven or more grabs in the final five outings. Ball State will make its second-ever appearance in the MAC title game against Buffalo next Saturday before participating in a bowl game, so we’ll get to see plenty more from Hall before the curtain comes down on his collegiate career.

  • FA Wide Receiver #49
Ball State junior WR Justin Hall registered nine receptions for a career-high 127 yards in Saturday’s 27-24 win at Toledo.
Hall (5'9/181) posted his fifth 100-yard collegiate game, and the yardage total is a new high, eclipsing the 124 yards he dropped on Miami-Ohio in Oxford back on Nov. 4 in the season opener. He and QB Drew Plitt have been on the same page all season, connecting at least seven times in each of the past three outings. They’ll look to continue building their tremendous rapport in next Saturday’s business trip at Central Michigan.

  • FA Wide Receiver #49
Ball State junior WR Justin Hall caught four passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s 45-44 loss to Central Michigan.
Hall (5'9/181), who scored his first touchdown since an October 19 win over Toledo, has now caught exactly four passes in each of his last four games. The junior pass-catcher boasts a receiving stat line of 52-608-5, leading the Cardinals in both receptions and receiving yards. Hall will look to improve those numbers next weekend, with Ball State scheduled to visit Kent State.
  • FA Wide Receiver #49
Ball State junior WR Justin Hall caught 11 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 29-23 win at Eastern Michigan.
Hall (5'9/181), the Cardinals’ leader in receptions and receiving yards, surpassed the 100-yard mark for the first time this season Saturday afternoon. And the 11 catches are the most for the junior since he caught 13 in a loss at Western Michigan back in September 2017. For the season, Hall has caught 36 passes for 350 yards and five touchdowns. He’s also been a contributor in the run game, as he’s accounted for another 104 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Hall will look to add to his numbers next weekend when the Cardinals host Toledo.
  • FA Wide Receiver #49
Ball State junior WR Justin Hall caught eight passes for 73 yards in Saturday’s 34-23 loss to NC State.
Given Ball State threw 57 passes, it’s amazing that nobody reached double-digit catches or triple-digit yards. The closest, however, was Hall, eking out WR Riley Miller by three yards. Hall (5'9/181) has caught at least four passes in every game this season, so it is not surprising to see him be the one to step up in this pass-heavy game plan.
