The Pacers have brought back Justin Anderson on a training camp deal.
Anderson played on some 10-day contracts last season for the Pacers towards the end of the year. He saw plenty of playing time as Indiana was trying to improve their lottery odds. If he makes the final roster, he won’t be on the floor much unless they face injuries or inevitably start their tank.

  • NBA Shooting Guard #11
The Pacers have signed Langston Galloway, Justin Anderson and Norvel Pelle to training camp deals.
The Pacers waived Bennie Boatwright, Gabe York and David Stockton to make room. Galloway’s contract is non-guaranteed and the same is likely true for Anderson and Pelle. There are no fantasy implications here.

  • Shooting Guard #27
According to Pacers coach Rick Carlisle, it is unlikely that Chris Duarte (left big toe soreness) will play in the team’s final four games this season, but said it’s not impossible.
Duarte has been dealing with the toe injury since February, and at this point, it seems foolish for the team to play him again in what has become a lost season for the Pacers. Go ahead and drop him if you haven’t yet, and continue to expect some more minutes from guys like Keifer Sykes, Terry Taylor and Justin Anderson.

  • Small Forward #22
Oshae Brissett (lower back soreness) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Brissett has missed the Pacers’ last two games, with Justin Anderson filling the resulting void in the starting lineup. Anderson could be in line for another start, but only if Brissett and Isaiah Jackson (headache) are unable to play. In this scenario, he would be worth streaming in deeper leagues.

  • NBA Small Forward #10
Justin Anderson has signed a second, 10-day contract with the Pacers.
This second 10-day deal will keep Anderson with the team for the next five games, and he could be worth a look in deep leagues with how well he’s played over the past four, posting averages of 12.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.3 triples and just 1.0 turnover per contest on 44.7% shooting.

  • WAS Point Guard #15
Malcolm Brogdon (rest) will not play in Monday’s game against the Hawks.
Conditioning, rest, no matter how the Pacers refer to it, Brogdon will miss yet another game. And with the team headed towards the draft lottery, there isn’t much reason for Brogdon to take on his usual workload. Justin Anderson, who has hit double figures in three of his last four games, should get another start, and he’s worth streaming in standard leagues.

  • NBA Small Forward #10
Justin Anderson played 35 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Raptors, accumulating 18 points (6-of-10 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, and four 3-pointers.
Anderson remained in the starting lineup with Isaiah Jackson (headache) sidelined, and he matched his season-high point total. The game being a blowout from the first quarter on helped matters, but he has given the Pacers solid production since signing a 10-day contract earlier this month. A top-100 player in 9-cat over the last week, Anderson is worth plugging into your lineup for next week’s action if your league is still active. Indiana will play four games with no back-to-backs.

  • CHI Power Forward #7
The Pacers will start Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Justin Anderson, Oshae Brissett and Jalen Smith in Saturday’s game against the Raptors.
The Pacers have 10 guys out due to injuries as they try to not win many games going forward, and with Isaiah Jackson and Goga Bitadze included on the injury list, Smith could make some noise tonight after missing his last pair of games. Anderson has been exceeding expectations as well since entering the starting group and he’s worth a look as long as he’s starting and Malcolm Brogdon (conditioning) is inactive.

  • NBA Small Forward #10
Justin Anderson played 36 minutes in Sunday’s 129-98 win over the Blazers, accumulating 18 points (6-of-10 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers.
Anderson, who agreed to a 10-day contract on March 16, made his first start as a Pacer with fellow Virginia alum Malcolm Brogdon (rest) getting the day off. And he played well, with the 18 points being the most that he’s scored in an NBA game since March 31, 2019 (24 points vs. Milwaukee). Not a bad return for fantasy players who may have streamed Anderson, but the joy will be short-lived. Indiana doesn’t play again until Wednesday, and Brogdon should be available then. If you picked up Anderson, drop him on the waiver wire first thing Monday morning.

  • NBA Small Forward #10
Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Justin Anderson, Oshae Brissett, and Goga Bitadze will start Sunday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Brogdon’s getting the day off for rest reasons so Anderson, who was signed on a 10-day contract a few days ago, will make his first start of the season. He only played nine minutes in the Pacers’ win over Houston, so Anderson really shouldn’t be called on unless you’re playing in an extremely deep league.
