According to SDNA Greece’s George Zakkas, Juancho Hernangomez has agreed to a two-year deal with Panathinaikos.
After seven seasons in the NBA, Juancho is headed back to Europe. According to Zakkas’ report, the versatile forward has signed a two-year deal worth 4.5 million Euros. Hernangomez was waived by the Raptors in late February and did not catch on with another team. His departure will not impact fantasy basketball.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Raptors have waived Juancho Hernangomez.
Hernangomez appeared in 42 games for the Raptors this season, averaging 2.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.4 blocks, and 0.4 3-pointers in 14.6 minutes. His exit frees up a roster spot for the Raptors, who will reportedly sign Will Barton. Hernangomez’s exit will not impact fantasy basketball.

Gary Trent Jr. (left quad soreness) is questionable for Monday’s game against the 76ers.
  • NYK Power Forward #5
Precious Achiuwa (right ankle ligament tear) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Grizzlies.
  • NYK Power Forward #5
Precious Achiuwa played 14 minutes off the bench in Tuesday’s 132-120 win over the Hornets, accumulating 13 points (5-of-9 FGs), two rebounds, one block, and three 3-pointers.
Toronto received solid contributions from all four frontcourt reserves who saw action Tuesday night. Achiuwa and Chris Boucher (11/7/2/1 with one 3-pointer in 15 minutes) handled most of the scoring, while Juancho Hernangomez (five points, five rebounds, one blocked shot, and one 3-pointer in 11 minutes) and Christian Koloko (six points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one block in 21 minutes) also had their moments. While this does fantasy managers searching for value no favors, as Toronto’s bench rotation will remain muddled, it did help the Raptors win their second straight game. Boucher has been the best fantasy option of the four this season, but that isn’t saying much, as he remains ranked outside the top 150 in 9-cat formats.

  • NBA Small Forward #22
Per Marc J. Spears of ESPN, Otto Porter has undergone season-ending surgery on his left foot.
Porter signed with the Toronto Raptors this past offseason after winning a title with the Golden State Warriors. Porter averaged 5.5 points and 2.4 rebounds in 18.3 minutes over eight games this season, but now will have to wait until next season to return to live action. With Porter out for the year, Juancho Hernangomez will remain in the rotation and continue to see more of a workload off the bench.

  • NYK Power Forward #5
Precious Achiuwa (right ankle ligament tear) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Clippers.
Achiuwa still isn’t ready to return to action, but the Raptors have the depth needed to account for his absence. Juancho Hernangomez and Thaddeus Young have played consistent minutes in the frontcourt, while Chris Boucher and Christian Koloko picked up DNP-CDs in Toronto’s most recent game. Of the four, Hernangomez is the best streaming option, but that isn’t saying much. There are better options on other teams.

  • NBA Small Forward #41
Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, O.G. Anunoby, Pascal Siakam, and Juancho Hernangomez will start Friday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Despite Gary Trent Jr. being cleared to return, Raptors coach Nick Nurse is sticking with the same five who started Wednesday’s game against the Knicks. Hernangomez remains with the starters, preserving some of his fantasy value. But he will take a hit with Trent back in action, especially when the Raptors don’t have to match up with a frontcourt the size of Cleveland’s.

  • MIL Shooting Guard #5
Gary Trent Jr. (left quad soreness) is available for Friday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Trent has missed Toronto’s last four games, with Juancho Hernangomez filling the void in the starting lineup. Whether GTJ starts or comes off the bench, Hernangomez’s fantasy value, which wasn’t high, to begin with, will take a hit. Feel free to drop Juancho onto the waiver wire if you were streaming him.

  • MIL Shooting Guard #5
Gary Trent Jr. (left quad soreness) has been downgraded to out for Wednesday’s matchup with New York.
With Trent out for their last game, Juancho Hernangomez got the start with O.G. Anunoby returning to the lineup. Hernangomez may start again, but he only played 14 minutes in that game. Chris Boucher, Thaddeus Young and Malachi Flynn are all more appealing fantasy options of the bench for the Raptors.
