Jovan Haye is expected to battle seventh-round pick Stanley McClover for the Panthers fifth defensive end spot.
The two were teammates in high school. It’s possible only one makes the final 53-man roster.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
Browns claimed DE Jovan Haye (Panthers) and T Kelly Butler (Lions) off waivers.
To make room, the team cut NT J’Vonne Parker and OT Kirk Chambers. They also reached injury settlements with DB Shawn Mayer and LB Clifton Smith. Cleveland also announced their practice squad: CB Therrian Fontentot, CB Jereme Perry, RB Chris Barclay, OL Rob Smith, NT Babatunde Oshinowo, OL Andrew Hoffman, WR Kendrick Mosley and TE Buck Ortega.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
Browns released DE Jovan Haye and activated CB Daven Holly.
Holly had been suspended for a game for violating team rules. Haye, a talented former Panther, hasn’t been able to buy a break.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
    Lions waived DT Jovan Haye.
Haye recorded two tackles in seven snaps against the Vikings in Week 14. He was no longer needed with Ndamukong Suh coming off suspension and Nick Fairley (foot) closer to a return.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
    Bucs signed DT Jovan Haye.
Haye recorded two tackles in seven snaps with the Lions in Week 14. He’ll add rotational depth up front for the Bucs, but this will remain an extreme matchup advantage for opposing running backs.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
Lions signed DT Jovan Haye, formerly of the Titans.
The Lions need depth inside with Ndamukong Suh suspended and Nick Fairley expected to miss Sunday’s game after aggravating his foot injury. Haye has been out of the league since the Titans released him after training camp. Adrian Peterson’s matchup is looking up, provided he has no setbacks this morning.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
Titans DT Jovan Haye has lost a whopping 25 pounds since last season and is down to 275.
The idea is to improve his quickness. Haye was a huge free agent flop playing in the 300-pound range last season, getting washed out against the run and recording just one sack all year. His grip on a starting job is tenuous.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
Panthers signed sixth-round DL Jovan Haye to a three-year, $1 million contract.
The Vanderbilt product will receive a $75,000 signining bonus. He only had one sack in his junior season.
  • CHI Defensive Lineman
Gaines Adams started training camp lining up on the second-team behind Denver import Patrick Chukwurah.
Don’t get carried away, they are just making the rookie earn his stripes. Jovan Haye is also lining up with the first team at under tackle, but won’t stick.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #73
Jovan Haye is listed ahead of last year’s second-rounder Jason Jones at defensive tackle on the Titans’ latest depth chart.
The team paid Haye a $16.2 million contract in March. Jones is a far superior talent and will likely see the most snaps of any Titans defensive tackle, so take this with a grain of salt. No matter who is “starting” for Tennessee up the middle, Jones should easily be the most productive one-gapper.
