Jordan McRae scored 15 points with two rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes during his Pistons debut against the Thunder on Wednesday.
He was just claimed off waivers two hours before tip, and he saw a nine-minute stint in the first half with 10 points. Coach Dwane Casey was talking to McRae throughout this game, and Casey did use McRae to close in this tight game at home. The schedule isn’t great with only two games next week, but McRae should be owned in standard leagues.

Jordan McRae is available for Wednesday against the Thunder.
He was just claimed off waiver just 30 minutes ago, so the Pistons will have some help on the perimeter. Coach Dwane Casey said he sees him more as a wing who can play point in a pinch, which McRae has shown is a role he can thrive in based on his time with the Wizards. He makes sense as an add in 12-team leagues with Bruce Brown (knee) still out and possibly big minutes right off the bat.

The Detroit Pistons are claiming Jordan McRae off waivers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.
The Pistons mess up the plans for the Suns with Phoenix wanting to claim McRae, but chances are the Derrick Rose (ankle) injury changed things. McRae lands in arguably the best spot possible for his fantasy value on a team in dire straits in the guard department, so he goes from an off-the-radar guy to a player worth a look in in 12-team leagues. For what it’s worth, he smashed in minutes without Brad Beal as a Wizard with a per-36 line of 24/6/5 over a 484-minute sample.

The Suns reportedly plan to make a waiver claim for Jordan McRae.
The Suns won’t wait for McRae to clear waivers, as it seems they’re eager to add his scoring and playmaking to their roster in the wake of Kelly Oubre’s knee injury. It’s about as good a spot as McRae could expect for fantasy purposes, but most owners should take a wait-and-see approach here.

Jordan McRae has agreed to a contract buyout with the Denver Nuggets and will become a free agent, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Woj adds that the Suns are the likely destination for McRae if he clears waivers. McRae was having some good success amidst all of the injuries in Washington before he got a bit banged up and then traded to Denver, where he was buried on the bench. He has some scoring chops and could find himself on the fantasy radar if he gets a role in Phoenix or somewhere else. McRae would help the Suns make up for the absence of Kelly Oubre (knee).

Jordan McRae (ankle) played 17 minutes in his Nuggets debut Monday night, scoring eight points (2-of-5 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) with five rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in a win over the Spurs.
McRae was brought in to give the Nuggets additional bench depth, which won’t do him any favors when it comes to his fantasy value. Will Barton (knee) didn’t play, which freed up minutes for McRae. Feel free to leave him on the waiver wire, even if Barton were to remain sidelined for Wednesday’s game against the Lakers.

Jordan McRae did not play against the Suns on Saturday.
McRae was available to make his Nuggets debut, but he did not get off the bench in the win. His role will be dramatically reduced after his move out west, which is unfortunate. It’s safe to drop him in almost every league.

Jordan McRae (right ankle sprain) is available for Saturday vs. the Suns.
He was a big loser at the deadline from a fantasy standpoint but could get some burn in the short term with Will Barton (knee) and Michael Porter Jr. (ankle) on the shelf. We’ll let you know how he fares after the game.

Jordan McRae (right ankle sprain) is probable for Saturday vs. the Suns.
His fantasy value took a big hit at the deadline as McRae just becomes a depth piece on Denver’s loaded bench. Standard-league owners can leave him on the wire for now.

Jordan McRae has been traded to the Nuggets for Shabazz Napier.
It’s a terrific real-life move for Denver as they get another microwave scorer off the bench with an expiring contract. It’s bad news for McRae’s fantasy value though, as he could’ve been a silly-season hero for the tanking Wizards and is now just a depth piece for Denver. He belongs on the waiver wire in standard leagues. McRae has been sidelined with an ankle issue but is expected back any day now.
