  • FA Kicker (FG) #1
ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reported the Packers will workout former UFL K Jonathan Garibay.
Garibay produced a 92.9 percent field goal conversion rate with the UFL’s Arlington Renegades this season, the second-best average among UFL kickers. The Packers are searching for a reliable leg after 2023 kicker Anders Carlson converted just 81.0 percent of his field goal attempts, ranking eighth-worst among NFL kickers with at least 18 field goal attempts.
  • Kicker #8
Cowboys signed K Brett Maher to a one-year contract.
The winner of the impromptu kicker conference, Maher will take over for the now-waived Jonathan Garibay and should be on fantasy radars. He made 16-of-18 field goals for the Saints in 2021 and was a Cowboy in 2018 and 2019. Maher and Lirim Hajrullahu will compete for the Dallas job in training camp.

  • Kicker #8
The Cowboys hosted free agent K Brett Maher for a workout.
The team also hosted kickers Cole Murphy and Matt Ammendola for workouts. Lirim Hajrullahu and rookie Jonathan Garibay have been battling for the starting gig in camp. Not pleased with what they currently have, the Cowboys may look to add one more body to the competition. For fantasy drafters trying to get Dallas’s kicker, it may be best to sit this one out for a few weeks.

  • FA Kicker (FG) #9
    Cowboys signed K Lirim Hajrullahu.
Hajrullahu is a CFL legend who played one regular season game for Dallas in 2021 when Greg Zuerlein tested positive for COVID-19. He made all five of his extra points and did not attempt a field goal. Hajrullahu also had a stint with Carolina in 2021, making four of his five field goal tries with the Panthers. Hajrullahu will likely compete with undrafted rookie Jonathan Garibay in Cowboys training camp, and the winner of the kicker battle should be fantasy viable in a Dallas offense that generated the seventh most field goal attempts in 2021.

  • FA Kicker (FG) #1
Rookie K Jonathan Garibay is the only kicker on the Cowboys’ 90-man roster.
With a month to go until training camp, Garibay has stuck around as the lone kicker on Dallas’ roster all offseason. A UDFA out of Texas Tech, Garibay converted 23-of-27 field goals for the Red Raiders and was 55-of-57 on PATs for his career. He’ll need to prove his ability to kick from long range, with just two career attempts of 50+ yards to his name, but has reportedly shown good distance in practice according to ESPN’s Tod Archer. Head coach Mike McCarthy preached patience when asked about his team’s recent woes at the kicker position after they opted to release veteran Greg Zuerlein this offseason. There’s a chance Dallas brings in competition for Garibay ahead of training camp, but his status as the team’s lone kicker thus far is an encouraging sign. Should he secure the job heading into Week 1, he could make for a valuable fantasy asset. Garibay is one of only a few kickers who play in both a top-flight offense and indoor home games.
