John Wall is in talks with Olimpia Milano, according to Basket News.
Wall held a private workout for NBA teams during Summer League, but apparently it wasn’t enough for him to earn a contract. Nothing is official yet, but he is trending towards playing in Italy next season. That could mean the end of his NBA career, though he could return to the league if he plays well in Europe.

According to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, John Wall will go through a private workout for NBA teams on Sunday in Las Vegas.
With the entire NBA being represented in Las Vegas for the start of the NBA2K Summer League, it makes sense for unsigned players looking to catch on with a team to hold workouts. Wall, who was waived by the Rockets after the team acquired him from the Clippers at the trade deadline, will hold a workout for multiple teams on Sunday. He appeared in 34 games for the Clippers last season, averaging 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.0 3-pointers in 22.2 minutes.

According to Kelly Iko of The Athletic, the Rockets plan to waive John Wall.
This is a surprise to absolutely no one, given how Wall’s first stint in Houston went. Maybe he can garner some interest in the buyout market after he becomes a free agent, but fantasy managers can’t bank on that. Wall should already be on the waiver wire in all leagues.

  • NBA Point Guard #11
John Wall has been traded from the Clippers to the Houston Rockets as part of a three-team trade including the Memphis Grizzlies, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Well looks like John Wall will be heading back to a familiar place. The five-time all-star is returning to Houston however, for how long is the question. Before being sidelined with an abdomen injury, Wall had been providing the Clippers with solid minutes in the reserve guard position with 11.4 ppg and dishing 5.2 apg. Fantasy managers should keep close watch on this situation in the event of a buyout.

  • PHI Shooting Guard #23
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Eric Gordon has been traded to the Clippers.
Gordon returns to the team that drafted him in a deal that sends Luke Kennard to Memphis and John Wall and Danny Green to Houston, though he’ll likely be bought out. EG played his first three seasons with the Clippers and was a borderline All-Star before being traded to New Orleans. He won’t provide the same production, but he’ll be a valuable shooting asset off the bench. Gordon has provided solid value recently with Kevin Porter Jr. injured, but he won’t see nearly the same volume with the Clippers and belongs on the waiver wire.

John Wall (abdominal strain) remains without a timetable for return, according to coach Ty Lue.
Wall hasn’t appeared in a game since January 13, and there’s no word on when he’ll be available to return to the Clippers’ lineup. Prior to the injury, the veteran point guard averaged 11.4 points, 5.2 assists and 2.7 rebounds across 22.2 minutes in 34 games.

John Wall will miss Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers with an abdominal strain.
Wall was expected to be re-evaluated two weeks after his initial diagnosis, January 29. Whether or not that’s happened yet isn’t known, and the Clippers have yet to provide an update. At the very least, it’s known that he won’t be available to play Sunday night. With Reggie Jackson (Achilles) questionable, Jason Preston could be asked to serve as the backup point guard.

  • PHI Point Guard #00
Reggie Jackson (left Achilles inflammation) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Hornets.
  • NBA Point Guard #11
John Wall (left knee injury management) will not play in Tuesday’s game against the Raptors.
  • NBA Point Guard #11
John Wall has been ruled out for at least two weeks due to an abdominal strain.
Wall won’t be available for the next two weeks, leaving the Clippers shorthanded at the point. Terance Mann recently moved into the starting point guard role, so Wall’s injury won’t impact him. However, this does mean the door opens for Reggie Jackson to re-enter the rotation. He struggled as a starter to begin the season, with Tyronn Lue eventually deciding to drop Jackson to the back end of the rotation.
