    Cowboys waived TE John Nalbone.
26-year-old Nalbone has appeared in two games since being selected in the fifth round of the 2009 draft. He had been fifth on Dallas’ tight end depth chart.

    Seahawks released TE John Nalbone.
Drafted by Miami in the fifth round back in 2009, Nalbone had little chance of cracking the 53-man roster, especially after the acquisition of Kellen Winslow. In a corresponding move, T Edawn Coughman was signed.

Cowboys claimed TE John Nalbone off waivers from the Seahawks.
Nalbone has yet to record an NFL catch since being drafted by the Dolphins in the fifth round back in 2009. He’ll battle James Hanna and Andrew Szczerba for the final tight end spot in Dallas.

Dolphins signed fifth-round TE John Nalbone to a four-year contract. The deal includes a signing bonus of roughly $173,000.
Nalbone (6'4/255) was a four-year starter at Monmouth, where he caught 42 passes for 491 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. He’s a project, but ran in the 4.6s at Pro Day and will compete for third-TE duties in training camp.

Dolphins TE David Martin is “healthy and ready to go” after undergoing sports hernia surgery earlier in the offseason.
There were spring-time whispers that Martin’s job could be in jeopardy if he was slow to recover from the surgery. Now healthy, he’ll continue to be used on passing downs. Fifth-rounder John Nalbone may be ticketed for the practice squad as a result.
  • FA Tight End #83
    Dolphins waived TE John Nalbone.
Nalbone was the Dolphins’ fifth-round pick this season. He was unable to make in impact even though Miami lost David Martin (knee) for the season. Nalbone is a practice squad candidate.
  • FA Tight End #83
Dolphins signed TE John Nalbone to a two-year futures contract.
Nalbone spent most of the season on the practice squad. With Anthony Fasano’s status with the team uncertain, Nalbone could have an impact on the active roster in 2010. The Dolphins also signed S Nate Ness, WR Julius Pruitt, WR Taurus Johnson, OG Ray Feinga and RB Tristan Davis to two-year futures contracts.
  • FA Tight End #82
Eagles signed TE Cornelius Ingram, TE John Nalbone, and WR Jeremy Williams to reserve/future contracts.
A victim of multiple ACL tears, Ingram spent the 2010 on and off the Eagles’ practice squad. He may never stay healthy long enough to reach his once vast potential. Nalbone, a project, was the Dolphins’ fifth-round pick in 2009. Williams shined in OTAs with the Chargers last season before disappearing in training camp.

Following Saturday’s surprising release of David Martin, John Nalbone is locked in as the Dolphins’ No. 2 tight end.
Nalbone, a fifth-round pick last season, spent most of his rookie year on the practice squad. Now he’s going to be on the field plenty as the Dolphins run a significant amount of two-tight end sets. Martin’s release prompted speculation that the Dolphins were trying to trade for Greg Olsen, but it appears they are simply higher on Nalbone than most.

    Dolphins waived TE John Nalbone.
It’s a bit of a surprise considering Nalbone was active for both games so far, and the Fins don’t have another tight end on the roster behind Anthony Fasano. Practice squadders Dedrick Epps and Jeron Mastrud are candidates for promotion.
